R1 or R2 is for low block Press nothing to High block Hold R1 or R2 while walking to mid hight block Interrupt counter is by pressing circle at the correct frame before talking damage as long as you still have your special meter available Escape a grab is by pressing R1 or R2 at the correct frame when the grabbed character body flashes bright light for a half second
Same here this game was my childhood I used to kick my friends asses at this game when I used to come home from school using godhand and sasuke good times😊
I remember this game. I went to go visit my grandparents in Jersey. They had a PS1 and I was looking for something to play at the time. When I saw this game, I had no idea what it was. But then I saw Final Fantasy 7 characters in it and I thought that this was the coolest game ever! To this day, I not only listen to the soundtrack, but I still play this too! I love this game!
There's an old warehouse that has a ton of old arcade games inside it where I live. Actually saw an Ehrgeiz cabinet in there. Place is really creepy though.
The learning curve on this game was quite difficult. Had a lot of things you could do, but not in a traditional style. It did help to own the game guide booklet to make sense of everything though. Haha, mashing in this game didn't help either. It had to be played the way it was designed to which made you either love it or hate it. Lol
I feel you, it's not great. Lmao, to be honest I had much more fun playing the mini games & especially brand new quest mode than the actual game. Hahaha!! The game really is lacking in variety. Maybe if stages were a bit bigger, more life bar, a proper meter system etc etc. I mean everything in a fighting game is there blocking, alpha counters, parries, throw escapes, etc but everyone is right. It's incredibly over complicated. Still a cool game to have, just not to really play. Stick to Brand New Quest, it's fun. But the RNG is trash, hahaha! Good times 😂
EHRGEIZ I will never forget when my mom took me to chuckey cheese for the first time when living in the states, found this weird game at a arcade. Also strong memory I have when I was in myrtle beach and we found street fighter 3 new generation.
I found this game at Columbia mall in the sears section the arcade game was seating in the walk way and i remember seeing godhand gun and saw it a year later at toys r us
I got the imported version where you had to leave the PS door open while some thing was pressing the spring to the cover. Only wanted this game to play as a 3D Cloud and Tifa.
Ehrgeiz is one of those games you play for 15 minutes and go "Yep! This was a thing!" and then go play something else. fun in short bursts but is not a good fighting game.
Its a great fighting game but most are not good at this game. The learning curve is difficult (not an easy game to learn well). Once you reach a high level gameplay then the game becomes great.
This game was fun minus the confusing controls and the RPG mode that was very frustrating, overly difficult, and also had bad controls. Though it was fun to use the Final Fantasy VII characters. I like how they had unlockable characters too like Vincent, Yuffie, and Zack. I was never able to own this on PS1. I was only able to rent it a few times at Blockbuster. Anyone remember Blockbuster? Imagine if they remade this game and had good controls? Maybe have it be like 2.5D graphics like the Guilty Gear Xrd series or Dragon Ball FighterZ?
