R.I.P. FLoE He was one of the first FGC competitors I watched when I first started watching live tournaments and watching matches on youtube. He was definitely a 1 in a Billion type of person and I'm glad he was apart of this community.
I think there may be a decent possibility that something like this would be in that agreement. I’ve heard of pitches that received answers a lot like this.

It will sadly only get worse, as people, like you and I, who DO care about these things, are in the minority. The majority of people out there who play video games just don't care/see it as a problem with with these types of practices, and will continue to support it, which is why companies are doing it more and more, and will keep on doing it.

@@MrCageCat Whilst this is absolutely true, I do also see a shift in the market _sentiment._ I'll be honest, it's not been a massive, noticeable, impactful shift... but, there's definitely been a ripple or a murmur. Basically, to cut a long story short, I agree with you entirely, it'll always get worse... and we perpetuate it by having no self-control. But, we're at like a "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 18 times..." stage now, where the players are actually vocalising their frustrations, reviewing negatively and in some cases that frustration effects the player count (like Destiny 2's record low Halloween event).

Simple thing is, full price games should not be using free 2 play monetisation. if you want to use free 2 play monetisation, then make the game free, not full price. It's one or the other.
Will want to specify that premium bought outfits for your avatar does *not* effect stats. Its specifically mentionned in their description event. They are more so meant to kinda be like 'transmogs' and purely cosmetic looks to equip over the actual gear. When you reach a certain level in WT you gain the ability to equip the apparence of any gear you own over the actual gear with the actual stats. Any stats changing gear they add later is either free promo or related to new free stories added to WT.
Couple things: the desire for Alisa going berserk has already been touched upon: Tekken 6 story mode and a bit of Tekken 7's, though "berserk" is perhaps too strong a word due to her attacking allies at the time due to a programming command. However, more or less, that wish has already been fulfilled. Devil Jin making an appearance is what it has essentially always been: a "What if" character depicting Jin totally succumbing to the inherited Devil Gene. It's similar to Evil Ryu in some ways and perhaps to a lesser extent, SFV's Kage.
The more of these videos I watch the more I'm starting to understand the fighting game gamer language. I've just been playing SF6 and MK1 for the fun and customization.
The Mortal Kombat1 pricing situation sucks, but I do agree, if they bundled the stage, the fatality, and that Green and Purple Halloween color pallette for all the characters, for $12 I would have bought it.
Ehh, I think all of it is funny because ultimately its just martial arts but people need context so they mention characters they are familiar with that is known for said martial arts techniques. I saw other people do this too lol
@@IsaacSperrow it just feels like some characters are ignored or forgotten so hard because Harada wants them to be. Like Julia/Michelle is from the first Tekken game and every game up until 7 with dlc, it’s like bringing back SOME of the world warriors and not including guile or Honda (which we’ve seen how that went already). Also feels like we won’t get Bruce ever again sadly and his stance shit is lost to Josie who everyone is saying is replaced now, so it’s just a double fuck you to another somewhat legacy character
Weird thing is while i do prefer SF6 to 5 by a long way I just have not felt compelled to play it and with Mk1 I am just going to wait a while till the inevitable complete edition comes out
I haven't felt compelled either. Looking back, I think the starting roster could've been better and why didn't Capcom do seasonal events in metro city? Shit like that makes me think they really did not plan to do much with that city.

Sf6 was my last time buying a sf games since while i love the characters n shit, i bought 4 and 5 but couldnt really get into them. So i said, id try it one last time and thankfully it clicked. Im not 20yrs old so i dont have the most time but 150hours in is already very good imo. So yeah, im happy with it, mods also help survive the content draught
not gonna lie getting held in the air for 45% damage after whiffing a punch gets old REAL QUICK in MK, and it wouldnt be a problem if the game itself felt a lot more fast pace

they should change Kung Lao Hat to just move slowly along the fightline, and you can't charge it/delay it. make it a slow-moving trap instead of a fast low projectile.
5:30 About that, maybe this is a hot take, but I think most Tekken 8 characters, if not all of them, are severely overdesigned. You could remove half of what they're wearing and it would still feel like it's too much.

But the reason why it’s boring is because the game was advertised as being expressive and creative and it isn’t, is it more creative than mk11…. Yes. Is that saying much? No. Bro I remember people finding new optimals in mkx 6+ years later, dbfz granted this game gets meta shifts and balanced patches kind of regularly, etc. This won’t exist in this game because of how limited it is, I really don’t understand people saying they added more combo potential, when that really isn’t the case you find your bnb and that’s it. The other routes you do don’t do so little damage in comparison it almost garuntees you will never do them. I remember watching yipes play mvc2 kid you I’ve never played that game my intro to fighting games at a higher level was inj2, that’s when i really invested time into learning how to play a fighting game. But back to my point I seen yipes play mvc2 like 3 or so years ago (it was during a pandemic) find a new infinite for a character I think it was jill who was considered to be one of the worst characters in the game. A low tier with infinites… discovered 2 decades later thats how fighting games should be. Depth. There’s no depth.
@@Bboosted I played Tekken tag tournament 1 a ton back in the day and was around the message boards when Korea first entered the fray completely shaking the meta introducing a ton of new tech it extended the games lifespan by years. I've never been able to jive with nrs games it took me a long time to get into 3D only picking up SF last year to learn before SF6. With MK 1 I'm just there for single player stuff but I've already done the story mode and invasions and feel done with it.
fLoE was such a funny dude and a great player. King of the random select :D. So sad to hear that he passed away, but he will always live on in our memories and there are a lot of good ones. Personally, I always had such a blast watching him when he was Cross Counter and Pro Talk back in the days. It was the stuff of legends, so funny! RIP.

I was using Rain Cyrax but Cyrax getting destroyed made it so I couldn't use Rain. I could but it would be way more difficult to use him. I switched over to Kenshi Sub Zero. I was super against the idea of a nerf. The reason why being that MK1 release day is the most fun MK game I've played in the series and I've played them all. Now it feels like the game is getting worse, if the game continues this trend I don't think I will play MK past the first year unless they tone things back up.
To be fair though could you really use Rain if you relied on the clearly most over tuned Kameo? Rain can definitely work with several other Kameos. Pairing him Sub Zero practically deletes the problem of having slow start up projectiles.
Never nerf, always buff. As a Jamie main I wish he'd get some love, but I'd be more bummed if they just made JP and Ken worse in the patch and didn't balance my dude.
T8 CBT made me go out and get a controller. Ran flawless and vs other regions was great until some one has a shit PC and had that red fps of which only had a handful. 100% getting the game. Most people i fought were combo gods but managed to rank up a few times. Really like that characters have individual rank. Im on the fence about getting MK1, dont trust that we gonna get Krossplay since i only enjoy ranked. Enjoying MK11 which makes me want to get Mk1
Invasion mode definitely had problems season 1, but it's considerably better in season 2. Still not perfect, but its a pretty decent way to practice combos with new characters
Important thing to note is that Nintendo isn't creating those guidelines because they think it's enforceable as much as they don't want special interest groups, parents, insert group here complaining to them directly when something goes bad at a tourney. They're covering their asses.

Tekken 8 running badly is a real shame, I absolutely cannot play a game without good netcode since sf6 has been so good. Probably gonna be a pass for me

14:16 this is the reason why so many Fighting Games sell really good, but totally getting droped after a few Weeks. This exclusive Beta Key testing is really hurting the casual audience. MainManSWE already complaining that its not cool to do a Bo3 in ranked Matches cuz u r not learning that much about the MU. At the end of the 2nd Beta he was already into full optimal combos and punishes. When u boot up the game for the first time as a casual and meet someone like him a couple of times, you gonna instantly drop this Game.....
league of legends sells skins on average about $10 a pop but thats okay because its a free to play game and thats the only source of revenue, meanwhile street fighter is a triple a $60 release charging EVEN HIGHER prices for cosmetics than a free to play game does. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!
Find me fighting games look better for some reason they don't look so static like all the characters look like statues but think about it we all grew up with it we all love the street fighter art style Street Fighter is better there is a single arcade mode where everybody has a small individual story which is bringing us back to where we used to be

Cyrax didnt make low tier characters better, he made johnny, raiden , baraka, kenshi able to rinse offense on block and get massive damage. Kung lao actual made low tiers better by filling in the gaps in offense and neutral where cyrax is just block pressure. foxy grandpa talked about this a lot. Overal nrs is shit at balance and mechanical design. Literally took them months to fix shiva and still only did something after being embarrassed infront of 50k viewers in a twitch rivals tourny that make mk11 look like a joke.
I think this shitty Nintendo policy is like one of the reasons Sakurai doesn't want to make Smash anymore, because he's a fighting game fan. He mains Iori in KoF and did a whole video on what makes Shoryuken an important gameplay mechanic
Takes no offense at what I'm about to say, but I think you're projecting. don't get me wrong, Sakurai is definitely a gamer and Fighting Games fan, but he has also been working with Nintendo long enough that he probably understands how and why theses guidelines came to be more than any of us. He also made videos about working in a company. Being hesitant to return for a next Smash Bros is a sentiment he has expressed for every game since Brawl (if not Melee) as he made each game as if it was the last, and in Ultimates' case, he has had that position long before theses guidelines. The reason he might not want to return is likely a combination of how Mentally and Physically taxing it was to make that game (remember at some point he was sick and still coming to work with a perfusion drip!) and "where do you go from there" because Smash Bros Ultimate has been so big that it's gonna be a though act to follow.
Kameos are just the replacement for stage interactables. I’m just happy it doesn’t feel like a tag fighter. I prefer interactables but it’s fine as long as it’s nothing like a team fighter. Go play a tag fighter.. this is Mortal Kombat.
Since launch I’ve gotten ONE online matchup on MK1. Meanwhile on SF6 I’ve had hundreds of matches, MK1 has been the worst experience I’ve had with a modern fighting game.
