I prefer the aftermath good ending, I like the idea of Raiden "passing the torch" Liu Kang for being an eldergod while Liu Kang "passing the torch" to Kung Lao for being the chosen one. Can't wait see whats next in the new reboot

Liu Kang's ending is REALLY awesome, I was not expecting that. With Shao khan, Shinnok, Kronika and Shang Tsung gone that means the Great Kung Lao with the help of Fire God Liu Kang could face a new threat (Onaga). But IF Shang Tsung's ending is canon there is only one rational scenario I personaly can think of: Shujinko or Taven may try defeat him with no one else left.

I really wish at the end of Shang tsungs ending that we could've seen the souls of everyone he absorbed during aftermath in his eyes.

The expansion came with more then 3 new characters and 3 skin packs it came with new skins for all the characters and a few outros for certaint characters. Followed with story DLC that was an enjoyable thing to watch and play start to finish. Worth the money I paid for it almost wish it was atleast 30. 40 is cutting it close tbh lmao

I feel bad for Kotal Kahn, he gets no love and is always beaten, and already got killed and this is his second game :(

I’m presuming that when Liu Kang made the new timeline they were a few things that were removed. One was maybe the existence of Raiden and two was obviously himself well specifically his mortal self doesn’t exist anymore because he’s already a god.

I don't really get the ending since for lui kang since he erased shang and his evil wouldn't that mean he probably could erase all of evil? So why does he go back in time for the great kung lao why not keep peace instead cuz it seems like the training is for mortal kombat

Loved this story and shang tsung was brilliant in it. Shao Kahn still dies but his death was better and he felt more badass and I like how they acted like they were gonna change sindels retcon about her being good but tricked us all at the end was a great plot twist

Scorpion and Sub-Zero's roles aren't shown much in the Aftermath. I guess the new poster boy for the next MK12 would be Kung Lao.

one thing I like about Schuginco and Shangtsung their power is it absorbs the other powers, thinking if Scorpion would have this power as an extra his combat hell fire and the power to absorb other powers that would be an invincible Scorpion

Shang Tsung's ending should be Canon, it would would be the perfect setup for MK 12's story without having to reboot the entire timeline again like Lui Kang's would.

When I saw Shang Tsung's Aftermath ending (as well as Liu Kang's), I knew Liu Kang was going to be the canonical ending that would lead to MK1. But I also wanted to see a "What if Shang Tsung won?" kind of game. And with Raiden and Fujin not only announcing to Shang that Earth, Outworld, and the Netherrealm have been conquered...but also announcing that Chaosrealm and Orderrealm (that have hardly been explored since Deception), I thought the perfect idea: a Mortal Kombat-themed Dynasty Warriors game! The game would feature Tecmo Koei/Omega Force-developed characters (similiar to the OG Hyrule Warriors and OG Fire Emblem Warriors) that originated from Chaosrealm and Orderrealm (plus a couple klassics like Dairou, Darrius, Havik, and Hotaru). The story would begin with a war between Chaosrealm (the protagonists)and Orderrealm being in kombat with each other, when suddenly...Shang Tsung and the Elder Gods launching their invasion, so the Chaosrealmers would have to travel through Earth, Netherrealm, Outworld, and (the unmentioned) Edenia to team up with and/or fight against the klassic Kombatants we know and love/hate. Unfortunately, with MK1 revealing that BOTH Aftermath endings are canon to MK1, this can no longer apply. And I felt like this was the biggest wasted opportunity in Mortal Kombat history. (And before you say that Mortal Kombat is too gory for Japan...so is Berserk and Chainsaw Man!)

If this is where the Mk story is going, Mk12 should have a create-a-character system where your character is the chosen one and Essentially replaces Liu Kang in the new timeline. And I know that the Great Kung Lao is the chosen one here but we don't know if the next game is gonna take place in this time period or be more towards the present.
