Yeah, but you should also know that Shang Tsung bring a lot of bad things on himself. For example, living just to suck the souls of the people? He cheated in on of MK tournaments and the price was that he will age rapidly, that's his punishment. In face, in every MK game, he got punished badly for his own actions. Lucky for him, he had his moment in Deadly Alliance, Deception, even Armageddon. Now, we get to see Shang Tsung's ending as well. With Quan Chi, i have no idea whether Netherealm Studios is gonna bring him back or not.

Kang Liu While it ironic but I praised and rooting for Shang tsung for killing shao khan and sindel considering they committed and inflicted misdeeds injustices pain suffering and crimes and in fact both are wicked and despicable you cheer and delight that Shang tsung kill shao khan and sindel in that way that satisfying well-deserved and Cathartic

Yeah, they both want the Crown, but Shang Tsung will betray his alliance at any given moments. That is his nature and it has been played out numerous times, especially in the case of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. Whereas with Liu Kang, he will never betray his friends.

@@user-sw8lc6qb6s Yeah, and don’t forget, we even see Shang Tsung break his first alliance at the start of HIS chapter when he deceives Fujin into giving him the Crown when Shao Kahn & Sindel make their move (Shang planned this knowing they would be an excellent diversion for Earthrealm & Outworld) by shapeshifting into Raiden. Not to mention that Fujin was IN on it the whole time: He was given specific instructions by Liu Kang to make sure Shang Tsung wins in the end (this involves sacrificing everyone involved because the Hourglass is one big reset button for whoever wears the Crown) and that once he does, Liu Kang would steal the victory by taking the Crown back. It then falls upon you to see if Liu Kang’s plan works or if his arrogance leads to his downfall.

But I do not agree. I really like Shang Tsung from MK9, and it's the old one. Yes, I watched the film, and yes, as a child, only once. It's a good idea, but I liked the previous character more.

If your talking about Shang Tsing he was always bad just pretending to be good to kinda earn their trust enough for him to wear the crown in the right moment. And he also knows the full potential and power of the crown so he used that to his advantage as well.

Yeah and they got their souls taken away by Shang Tsung too which was so hilarious when they started screaming too as they was dying and when they died they looked all dried up and wrinkly too.

Technically once, but yes twice, it's confusing to think about but in the original rebooted timeline, Shao Kahn snapped his neck in the arena, and in Aftermath, Shao Kahn snapped his neck on a boat near the sea of blood, but this Kung Lao that got his neck snapped at the sea of blood was supposed to meet his fate way earlier in the arena, but events from MK 11 interfered with events in MK 9, so Liu Kang never died, and whoever else was brought over lived different lives

And the 3rd time was the revanent kung lao, and it was by Shang Tsung, and so Kung Lao died altogether here

To be turned into a "lol I killed my husband and sold my people into slavery cus Khan was hot" didn't stand too well with people who had grown up knowing her original character.

Sadly that's not the case. In the new game Liu Kang, in his arrogance and superiority complex, pulled a Christianity and Muslim and made himself the sole god and only powerful character in the new Era. I never liked Liu Kang, I never will. The majority of the MK Community has already built a cult or sect around their „god“, which I would never join in either life or death. I always choose Shang Tsung in the Aftermath DLC.

I picked the Shang Tsung ending as well, always love being bad lol.

Imagine Shang Tsung as the Communists in WW2, Raiden's side is the Allied Forces, Shao Kahn's side is Fascist, Kronika's side is another side of Fascists, say, the Japanese forces, and Fire god Liu Kang was the last force to fight the Communists, the Nationalist. Clearly, the fight between Liu Kang and Shang Tsung at the very end is the symbol of the battle between the Nationalist side and the Communists side. Only this time, you get to choose which side will win. In real history, the Communist side won in China, lost in Japan, Singapore and South Korean. However, that's just my opininon, because clearly, you guys have yours too.

Liu Kang let this happen because there was no other way. If any characters can use the Crown, he could juat let any of his allies use the Crown instead of Shang Tsung. Too bad, there were only 4 people could use the Crown, and two of them were not allowed to touch the Crown
