I've been asked by a few people on my other videos for some more info on this, so its just a quick video explaining how I fitted power steering to my mk2 escort rally car using a cross C EPAS column.

The floor mount pedal box seems to solve many clearance problems. I'd like to do this to my starlet and maybe sit further rearward.

I’ve never driven a mk2 with a normal pedal box but it feels great in mine with the seat all the way back to the 4 link boxes

@RickyCroneMotorsport Sometimes, the hardest thing in car modification is deciding which thing to modify first. Videos like this help out.

wow, and here i am with my 2004 Corsa C which came with no power steering whatsoever for whatever reason, wondering if it's even possible to swap a power steered column in it or just sell it and buy another car with power steering....

If it’s any use the Corsa was sold in Australia as the Holden Barina & they are 10 a penny here , & there are many Holden wreckers who would ship to the UK .

Corsa are cheap here to be fair. The epas colum I use are readily available. It's the earlier corsa columns that are hard to come by now

Hi do you have a link to the rix controller? I have corsa power steering on a race car but it’s way to light on min setting, it’s the controller from Spain(very cheap) so hopping it’s that

Ive bought one of the Rix Corsa b units from MST,not cheap but the quality seems ok,only fitted the shaft so far....😂 I really got to try to finish fitting it sometime this century

Yeah I looked at the various kits available, all would have to be modified for how I wanted it and the price of them! So thought I'd just have a go, seems to work alright!

Hello Jan. I have a 2.5 turn quick rack and the electric steering really makes light work of it.

Hi Ricky do you have to get any particular corsa model year to fit the mk2 escort or will any from the Corsair B or C fit

Doesn’t really matter what car you get it from as none are a direct fit and need custom brackets making etc. I just went for corsa C as it’s one of the cheapest. Or at least it was when I did it!

My up date I purchased a corsa c column to fit into my mk2 escort but couldn’t fit it as I have a biased pedal box with wilwod brake Master Cylinders that are point downwards and when I put the steering column in place it kept fouling on the brake Master Cylinders I did look at fitting one from mark 2 mania but when I spoke to Rick it was the same problem so it’s back to the drawing board
