I know ha?! I have watched countless videos but none of them sounded this good I think the problem is that people trying too hard and then their vr start sounding like a civic I have no problems with loud but I do hate loud and raspy
Dude a wireless double din apple CarPlay unit was one of the best upgrades ive done to my lil 1.8t jetta, I love it more than my power upgrades sometimes just because I daily my car and have to do long drives (about 500 miles) haha. I only make 304whp though so I can imagine it’s different for the dudes that go balls to the wall on a car, that ain’t a daily at that point.
Die Geschichte des Verbrenner Fahrzeugs geht leider zu Ende. Der VR6 wird in Museen stehen und für viele Menschen eine Legende bleiben. Ich persönlich liebe den VR6 Motor er ist etwas ganz besonderes ❤
Im looking at VR6s at 100k and 150k miles which haven't had the timing chain changed, is this a bad idea or would it be advised to just replace the timing chains as you notice the noise?
Hello Penlul, How many miles are your mk4 please ? I have a mk4 2.8 24v with 105 633 miles and I hesitate to pass it on compressor or turbo. Thanks bro'
I'm at 108,000. Don't drive it much anymore but it still runs fine, boosted since 73,000. I would do a compression and leakdown test on your engine to determine if it's healthy enough for boost 👍
12v or 24v and what muffler are you using. I'm using a borla at the moment and it sounds like shit, like a hive of angry bees flying down the street. And not in a good way
Its pretty much all pieced together for the turbo setup, i can help you figure out what parts to get if you want. Just know its gonna be a lot of $$$ to do it right.
Penlul that would be helpful. I already know it will be pricey. Have no choice but to rebuild anyways. Basically I hit something in the road and it put a hole into my oil pan. Engine ended up seizing from that. So if I rebuild I might as well go turbo since I was thinking of going turbo anyways
@@Brian2094ify around there, turbo is like a grand for name brand, manifold, exhaust, intercooler, tuning, easy 3-4k especially if you don't do it yourself
Down pipe 600 intake manifold 750 tuning 750 space 250 injection 400 fuel pump 200 time chain 200 water pump 250 head studs 355 rod bolt 250 bearing 200 turbo 500 exhaust manifold can be cheap forged ! 80 pluming turbo tome wide band 500 I’ve invest close to 10l cheaper to go 1.8 all dau
@@RobDaBankz Mailed it in and they loaded a generic tune based off my injectors, compression ratio, fuel, etc. It doesn't run the smoothest but it keeps the engine together lol
Garrett 60-1 precision 39mm wastegate CTS short runner intake manifold kinectics front mount intercooler custom intercooler piping ebay turbo manifold 9:1 head spacer, arp head studs c2 stage 2 tune deka 630cc injectors spec stage 2 clutch I would go with united motorsport for a tune. Same price but good for more power.
@Brian2094ify $3000-6000 depending on if you buy used, how nice of parts you get, and what vr6 you get. Parts are a lot cheaper and easier to come by for the 12v vr vs the 24v.
Penlul I’m looking to get a Mk4 R32 eventually. How much do you think it’d cost for 500-600whp? I was thinking $5-6k for a turbo kit alone, but what else would i have to do and what would that cost?
kloc monster tune, clutch, fuel pump, head spacer, not required but id recommend arp head studs, motor mounts, probably forgetting a few things.. lots of good info on the Everything VR6 turbo & S/C fb page, some people on there with turbo r32s say 10k for a reliable 500hp setup.
Penlul the only thing that keeps most cars from being modded is that it needs a carb emissions legal catalytic converter. But maybe I could throw in a turbo and a camshaft and get away with it.
You have a few options, none of which are exactly legal. 1. get your car smogged in stock condition, then boost it. run it for two years, then return it to stock for the next go round. 2. Register the car in a state that doesn't do emissions testing (FL or AL) and run out of state plates 3. Get a diesel title car to base the build on. Good luck, and try not to get caught.
It came on the car when i bought it, i've seen a couple on ebay but i think some people were having issues with fitment on those. Your best bet would be to browse the "Everything VR6 Turbo, SC, & NOS (Forsale ONLY group)" on facebook and see if anything good pops up for sale.
Bobby Digital barely opening the Wastegate in this vid, just cruising around the lake testing my new mic. Also the car only makes 340whp so it's nothing crazy to begin with.
True, but as ive posted before i was just testing my mic out, if i knew this vid was going to get so much attention i definitely would have stepped on it a bit more lol
@@Penlul love how the mk4 gtis stuck to the ground like a go kart. It felt like no one would have the balls to chase me on the back roads....and they didn't. Thumbs up on the car man
