@@dyllman98 let me know in the long run how it is ! And how many miles you got , I have a tuned g37 coupe but these vr6 sound amazing .. like an 2000 s4 without the turbo
Damn right! Culture of automobile starts with a vw especially with young men.My first car was a jetta 2 . I owned a lot of different brand of vehicles due to car sale business ,but my heart and soul always belongs with vw even if it breaks down.
Roshan Manilal Agreed. I've grown up around VWs and now I'm looking for my first car. Cool things keep popping up but I keep going back to MK2s. One of these days one will pop up for the right price at the right time.
one of the best sounding natural aspirated 6 cylinder ever made..there is something about VR6 that push VW lovers stick with it.I m myself VR6 guy own the same car Jetta GLI VR6 24v and its number 1 for me even after 13 years old ...slow or fast i dont care and you know why ??? every single person who know how VR6 does sound will recognize it in fucking mile - That's VR6 !!!!
Random question but how has it held up for you guys? I'm looking to get a mkiv Jetta but it's a little on the higher mileage side (135000 miles). Anything to watch out for in particular?
+PumPumCheezPizza69 its definitely a high maintenance car, but totally worth it, mines done 159,000km (have no idea what that is in miles), ive only had to do belts and services so far
I got mine with 86k on the clock and she's about to hit 104k probably tomorrow. the only thing I have had to do the car other than oil changes and plugs is a fuel pump.
Lol I have a 3" straight piped 24v vr6 gti. I love the exhaust note so much that I watch videos about it when I'm not driving it. Owning one of these is fun as hell.
man. I have a 24v vr6 gti also, resonator removed but still have mufflers. I do the same thing. Something about the VR6, it's one of the best sounding engines ever.
marktech101 Nice, I have the opposite. No muffers (just tips) but resonated. Agreed man. I've been straight piped for a few months already and still can't get over it
I read you man, just got my 2.5 Magnaflow Custom Exhaust done a couple days ago and the sound is so good i love driving it sounds so beast especially on the Freeway.
After years of going back and watching this video i finally bought the same exhaust. Let me tell you, the expense is worth it. These arent the fastest cars in the world but they’re hell of a lot of fun to drive. The exhaust makes it 10x better. If anyone is considered an exhaust for this motor. 15746 from magnaflow is the way to go no doubt. Incredible
Justin Ruiz ok cool. What part, someone has to do a vid like this with the 12v. I'd do it with mine if i had a mic, my mk3 is 2.5in straightpipe all the way
I sold my Jetta a few years ago and picked up a B8.5 S4 but no lying I still miss the sound of the VR6. I'm glad I have this video to come back to every once and a while!
I drive mine the entire day with the same exhaust and sound And because I dont have enough of him I come back before sleep to get that feeling on driving it
same! sometimes I wish I wouldve gotten a vr6 just for this amazing sound. and my 1.8t it straight from the stock cat back and tuned so it's also loud but not this loud 😂 I just love the obnoxiousness to it lol
TastyGravy1 I love the sound of the VRs, but the 1.8t can sound good too. A 1.8t with the righ exhaust has a very deep rumble. Still not as good as the VR, but pretty good compared to other 4 cylinders.
Bro I've been watching this video for so many years lol now I finally got my hands on one 134k 03 6speed I cant wait to throw my exhaust on thanks for the inspiration
VR6 all day! I have a 3.6 CC with Magnaflow mufflers and the suitcase deleted. It's essentially an R36 for America. The perfect sound. Now I got a 2.8 GTI as a project. It's getting magnaflow as well.
You know what's stupid? since i've seen this video i keep comming back to it - even if i do own VR6 myself. There's something special about this video for volkswagen oldschool fans.
I just.....I cant stop listening, got this open on my pc at work, when i come home its on that pc and when i open my phone its playing. My god music to my ears
No other 6cyl engine can compare to this sound. I personally would have liked to have heard it with the resonator still installed but that's just me. Still sounds amazing.
I got a 2.5 inline 5 mk7 and a vr6 b6 3.6 The in-line 5 is straight piped in my cars playlist on my channel and the vr6 will be on Friday. Check out my other cars as well
Hey man, I have a 03 VR6 as well and I love the sound! Do you have a tune for it, if so what time? Or did the backfire come naturally with the resonator delete? I’m buying the MagnaFlow exhaust for mine this week, and I really want the same sound! Thanks!
Thinking about removing my convertor I've already deleted egr and secondary air pump. Now yours here is it just straight pipe without a muffler??? I want a good rumble but gotta keep it toned down a bit compared to that. I'm thinking no convertor with my already installed high flow muffler. Yours here is straight pipe without muffler correct???
