My first car was a manual gray 06 GTI, I learned how to drive a manual and how to drive in general, I LOVED it. Sold it for 2005 330Ci, which was awesome but the practicality of the GTI was surely missed lol. There’s a ‘10 GTI around me going for 6,500 with 95,000 miles, maybe i can get it down to 5,500 or 5,800. I Keep looking at it, cus I hate my Altima and want to get rid of it.
Yeah these cars are the best to learn manual on! But I totally agree the gti has so much practicality and it’s just such a fun car to drive! Like I’m debating upgrading the an Audi S3 but I really love the hatch. I think the price you said for about 5,800 is definitely doable for the miles on that gti. Nice howto, thanks for sharing. My son and I did this on his 2009 VW Rabbit and all is well..but do you know if that motor controls anything else besides the rear wiper? I ask because he was able to open the hatch with his remote before (albeit intermittently) and now it won’t open at all using the remote. I looked on VW forums and this issue doesn’t look related to this mod, and we did the check the RW fuse and it’s good. If I’m missing anything, please advise/thanks.
Up to you, I didn’t. But if you accidentally hit the rear wiper switch and it squirts washer fluid it’ll sit in your trunk unless you tape it up really good,

Hey there, most of the exhaust sound is going to come from the resonator being deleted. The cat delete will add some sound but mostly just free up the flow creating more performance gains. So if you want sound I’d delete the resonator
