Great video. I’m about to have my mechanic install a cts ko4, downpipe and ecu/tcu software for my 2011 CC and i haven’t been able to find videos as good as this for reference

What's your setup? I'm waiting on machining for my stroker build. JE pistons, IE Tuscan rods, and a new FSI crank from IE through Uro tuning. The turbo I want is the Borg Warner EFR 6258. Really pricey turbo, so we'll see.

Your one of the very few tuners who understands the compressor surge with the k04-064 and maps around it compared to the others. Great content as always! Would love to see what you could do with some 99 octane like we get here in the UK

That would be pretty close to the 93 e10 that we get here. He's said many times they only have 91 with little to no ethanol (which would be roughly equivalent to your 95, not quite but close). They could definitely squeeze more out of it with that, even more of they went for e85. That would be an amazing tune on that thing if they had ready access to it.

Just bought the cts ko4 upgrade for my 2012 beetle turbo 2.0tsi e888 gen1 cbfa... installation will be on Sunday with untronic stage 2+ ko4 tune +fbo... can't wait to hurt some feelings 😂

@Buzz Race I have not installed it yet.. my dp didn't have a 02 bung for the upstream o2 that's on the ihi turbo... Not a big deal. I tapped and welded a bung and will be installing this Saturday

It would have to be real bad to impact power. Usually when it gets bad they missfire so it would have never made it to the dyno before cleaning.

Stock FSI can't handle what's capable out of a K04. Yes we've done them, expect less power than this.

i test drove a mk6 at a dealership so im not sure what was done to it, but anyways it wheel hopped like crazy. anything you can do to these cars to reduce that?

I have a mk6 & got rid of 98% of wheel hop with upgraded dogbone mount & insert, revo motor & trans mount & now I have no wheel hop

Great video as always. Would be curious to know if in-fact that’s a K04X or the standard K04. I’ve read mixed opinions on how that turbo runs on OTS K04 tunes.

@@COMotorsports would you attribute the power level of this car being above the last K04 dyno video on the K04X? If I recall correctly this car was ~40whp higher than the last one.

@@nates2243 nope, more so do with the upgraded MAP sensor which allows more boost. I haven't done a comparison between both of those turbos back to back to know the difference between them. On paper the X should outperform. It's just a matter of having the setup to actually be able to do that.

is this still on stock clutch? new to the mk6 platform and not sure what supporting mods are needed to run K04x and apr stage 2 outside of the 4 bar map sensor that you mentioned. I assume a less restricted downpipe is also required.

The map sensor will be specific to the file you run, most don't offer a MAP sensor file. Clutch you will need for sure.

Have you guys done a IE stage 3 turbo setup yet on an MK7R with the 2260s turbo? Wish you guys where closer to me as i would bring you my car to have the IE intercooler, HPFP, 2260s turbo and the IE Flex Fuel kit! Im finding to to be a bit over whelming to install these parts my self!

Turbo will only make it sound better. But there are plenty of 3.2 NA VR6's dyno's on our channel.

I have a 13' gti with literally the exact same setup. Even down to the catless custom exhaust. But I do have a twincooler setup on 93 octane. If I do a cts k04 could I be seeing 350whp?

@@dannyharris5300 sure, but you're not going to gain much power if any on a 93 tune. Would come down to how aggressive your tune is. If you run a specific 104 file then yes you'd gain again.

@@dannyharris5300 DSG is fine with software at that power level, same as engine. However fueling becomes the first problem, shorter after engine.

Alright bud I have an FBO IS38 MK7 GLI. Currently IE does NOT have a flex tune for the car but apparently have one in the works. Ideally I could do that, flash it once and put whatever fuel in it. On the other hand, I'm thinking it may be a bit conservative and not make a ton of power. My other thinking is to go with EQT and do a 91 tune for most of the time and do their E30 tune as basically a send it tune (not looking to break any records here but would like to make good power for what I have done to the car). Currently the fueling is stock, and aside from possibly a HPFP for the IE setup, I'd like to keep it that way. What do you think? Comparable power likely if I was running ~E60 on the IE tune compared to E30 with the EQT?

Literally sitting where I parked it when I pulled it off the dyno. I do plan on pulling it apart and have another engine I might sacrifice... it's just time is the problem. Clients cars come first so playing for YT is tough.

@@COMotorsports I have pictures of the way I got it set up if ur interested. Currently I have the 034 “Africa plate” it replaces the oem pvc. I was filling my catch can up with oil every couple of hundred miles. I started blowing boost pipes and had a lot of oil blowing out of the charge pipe by the timing chains. I thought my rings were bad. I pulled my spark plugs and had oil above the spark plugs. I heard the block off pvc could be creating a neg drawl situation.

@@COMotorsports BFI “clean catch” kit it incorporated the OEM pvc valve. I thought if I could eliminate the OEM valve then I would not have to keep replacing it. I had no idea all the trouble it could cause.

It's not exactly ours. We don't offer a complete kit. However we did build that kit. Power really comes down to fueling and engine. Stock engine with headspacer will make 500whp no problem. Engine mods, much more.

@@BackyardBuildsCAD Depends on fuel and turbo. But yes been done plenty of times. The R32 we recently did on our channel would easily make 500whp. We only stopped as we met the customers goals. But the same kit on the other R32 made 49Xwhp on a crappier turbo.

I have a 08 Gti fsi k04, I am having a issue where I am getting misfires at 5k rpm only in boost. The misfire is so aggressive that the light start flashing, and the only codes are random misfire. Brand new s3 injectors, ngk plugs, and coil packs. If you have any idea what can cause a problem like that, let me know.

CTS Catch cans are fine. But yes PCV needs updating.

@@COMotorsports it's "fine " but the can is to small I used to fill it every 4 days and I was emptying it so much on my daily I ended up drilling and tapping a 1/4 npt pipe and elbow with a 1/4" ball valve and a hose to the ground to drain it .don't think it's the best design the spulen one I heard was good
