Hey Jake. Thanks for all the helpful info in this video, esp the part about loading the suspension to get proper bolt alignment upon removal and reinstallation of the endlinks at the control arm. I'm very new to car mods, and I was able to complete this job in a couple hours thanks to all the time saving tips you've provided. I've been following your builds, and also got the moogs. Next install for me is the BFI stage 1 mounts that you've also given high regards to.
@@jakebaun8422 wow, test drive, shake down complete.. no clunks or squeaks and the car handles so much better.. installed the Euro Sport upper front strut brace a couple days ago and paired with this RSB 🤌🏿💯

Baun Performance yup! I’ve subscribed and look forward to your real world review of the RSB.. my initial assumption is that a 26 mm solid bar might be too aggressive for non track use.
We appreciate the video and wanted to see if you have DD feedback after a couple months? Did the bar eliminate understeer, create oversteer etc and did it firm up the ride?
They can be greased, but I didn’t add any additional grease during the installation. It’s been over a year and they’re still issue free, although now that you mentioned it I probably will give them a shot each during my next oil change (easy access with the car on the lift).
In your opinion, is a rear sway bar upgrade worth it for a daily driving application on the Mk7 GTI? Or was this upgrade made for track/auto cross purposes? Thanks!
I daily my MK7 GTI with an Eibach 25mm hollow rear sway bar and it makes a big difference in handling. I put my performance pack rear sway bar onto my Wife's MK7 Golf and even that made a noticeable difference in that car's handling.
A rear sway bar is easily the biggest bang for your buck, handling-wise. I just put one on my Golf R, and used the Moog endlinks too. They are nicely made, but beware, I was not able to use the ‘softest’ location of the sway bar holes because there would be a lot of stress on the endlinks at the neutral (weight on wheels) position. If I feel the need to change it, I’ll use Whiteline endlinks.

For the moogs, it's 55nm at the end link to sway bar, 20nm + 1/4 turn at the end link to control arm. The mounting bracket for the sway bar bushings are 20nm + half turn for each triple square bolt
