Guys please put Maister on the title. The dude doesn't deserve this. Edit: Alright I understand. Long title = bad performance on videos. But for someone looking from outside, there's no indication that Maister (someone who contributes to the podcast just as much as Leo) is in this video at all. At least put him on the thumbnail. You could also cut out the redundant stuff like '& If Kazuya is top 5' because we all know that topic is going to be brought up the moment we knew Riddles was in the video.
RU-vid titles perform best with 60-70 characters in them. We only have so many words that we can put in a title without it being too long and causing the video to perform poorly. MKLeo, Riddles & Maister Talk About New Mains & If Kazuya is Top 5 is wayyyyyyyyyyy too long. Maister has been in the last 2 titles for the podcasts, is in the very top of the description and has links to his socials as well. It really is not that deep saying "he doesn't deserve it". TY
I think Leo continuing to adjust his character lineup both makes him exciting to watch and shows his versatility in keeping a consistent stable of characters. The end game of ultimate is definitely folks making character counterpicks.
This should also be the endgame for melee soon tbh, (don't hate on me meleetards) with people maining samus or falcon just to deal with fox, but for ultimate, I do think it's just gonna be whoever has the better character overall and they're just forced to stay as that character until they lose a game but that person has map picks for winning while the opponent only has character picks instead if they lose, it'll definitely change the ruleset that people play in today if this happens
As a Leo fan I disagree about the Marth coming out. He seems fixated on other characters. He refused to play Corrin despite his success with her, and the same is happening with Marth. He didn't even optimize the characters to their full potential but he clearly does not want to play them as much as Joker and Roy. Also the ROB magically disappeared too.

46:44 something no one talks about is how only fast characters could run through characters, and big characters like Bowser couldn't be dashed through. So it really benefited top tiers and hurt slower high/mid tiers that were already bad
I personally think it makes jumping around better than it needs to be. More mixups if they just made it a better version of smash 4 running through people.
So we got Riddles and DABUZ in the invitational. EE spoils that SHADIC is attending. That means only 2 players left. My guess is that it will be Zomba and Peabnut.

Yo smash seems more copetitive then ever. Everyone is beating more top level players. I mean bottom 32 beating top 32 it is just amazing. I love it since I love this game :)
as a Link player I could see them changing him to TOTK Link in a future game - though I personally am apprehensive of that since I love Remote Bomb so much. but also most of TOTK Link's abilities feel so different from Smash Link that idk if they'd want to revamp the character to such an extent.
Riddles' Cloud was obviously untested, unpolished, clearly a brand new character he was learning. And yet he put up a fight against Onin. No disrespect to Riddles, he's one of the best players in the meta, has experience from Spargo on optimal Cloud play, and Cloud is easy to play by average Smash character standards while Riddles' line up contains some of the most technically involved characters in the cast, but that Steve matchup has to be in Cloud's favor. I bet Riddles while vod reviewing thought to himself "Aw man I could have done a Rising Dair to spike Onin in one of those edgeguarding situations I put him in". Or perhaps Onin was being too lax and I should be giving him for flack.
@@kava3957 Fair, but I would imagine there's some leniency in calling a character new when there's not much data using them in bracket. To give an example, Leo did a video on his channel about himself having the potential to be the best Roy some years back. It's only now we're seeing his Roy in bracket. But I suppose you could say I'm giving Riddles too much credit and he does have a good amount of experience with Cloud and he can't just whip out a character he played for a couple weeks and go toe to toe with one of the best Steve players in the world.
theyre prolly not doing a deluxe version of ultimate, because think of how long ago it was that they abandoned this game, they defo have the time to make a new one even with every character i hope they make a new one but dont cut characters, because i actually could not deal with another lik 10 years of fighters pass 2 without them being nerfed into the ground that being said, ultimate fundamentally is a good game, so if they just gave it a graphics update for the new hardware, rollback netcode, and start giving balance patchs again itd be good, but then the big question would be why tf did they abandon the game so early for switch? tbh the only fundamental thing id change about ultimate is neutral get up having 1 frame of vulnerability is ridiculous and its just an annoying barrier of entry offline, but online it can make some characters straight up trash because the inconsistency in the delay and lacking lingering moves makes it more difficult to punish then it should be obviously the netcode, give the game dedicated servers and rollback, its crazy that mario kart gets a better online experience then ultimate change some movement BS, like how riddles was talking about FGC characters cant dash back and shield, or how falcon has a long ass turn around for no reason and, uh, obviously we better see alot more characters, stages, and content in general if they abandoned the game for this long just to rerelease it on the next console obviously the most important thing is alot of content, visual improvements for the new hardware and a netcode thats actually acceptable
Minmin is from a nintendo IP, and one that performed really well. (would have preferred ninjara) but I'm pretty sure ARMS is getting a sequel (game outsold most FGC games not named smash) and they'll probably bring back binbin or choose another character to add.
I come for Leo to talk, but as everyone says, Maister is actually the secret (or not so secret) moving force for these videos, whether its in a script or not (I don't know how these videos are made under Luminosity). If not in the title, at least thumbnail insert him?
They're likely not gonna mention Kola whatsoever, there's like in-between-the-lines beef between Kola and Leo (feels very apparent since that whole thing with Leo saying Kola fell off/Roy wasn't meta etc)
