By doing the first shot while he's rising and then not holding b. If you shorthop and immediately start spamming b you get two shots, it's actually slower if you hold b

@Damani Campbell I have, & u do need a lot of skill to optimize him. I like fighting against jokers, because of how much of a boost they think aresen "seemingly" is. when it's used by a moderate to decent player, u can definitely beat him, u just have to play smart neutral not scared neutral. But When he's piloted by MKLEO, kiss that stock goodnight. I never said he was broken. I just think it's funny to give a character all that frame data advantage, give him that great recovery, & then on top of that make him transform into a character with sheik's speed, Ganon's power, a side-special that travels as far as bayo's neutral special, but explodes like one of snake's missiles & then poisons u after it lands for additional damage. & then turn his god-like tether into an inkling recovery with added height to it. ....& then give him a wall-jump on top of it. That's hilarious to me. after all of that, how can u explain mac's, doc's, & incineror's recovery being how it is. ...how?? It's laughable! Joker's comeback mechanic is wilder than lucario's, but little mac can't side-special again in the air if he's hit. THAT'S LAUGHABLE! Sure he may not be "broken" cuz everyone's not on MKLEO'S skill level yet with that character, but it's clearly still early in ultimate. Would u still be praising that character if there was 6,7, 8 "MKLEO" type players piloting the character the same way he does?? Would u?? Or would u be real with urself & just look at that character's entire kit? Down-gun?! ...an anti-sharking tool+an semi-reliable gimp tool all rolled into 1? Who else has such a move set in game?? Joker's a good character, but who are u fooling?? I can easily see him becoming the "smash4 bayo" simply because of the outrageous move-set!

My "salty poopy-head brain" doesn't call it "broken" because not enough people exploit joker's obvious strengths, so by that evidence alone, i can't say it's "broken" & I never do/did. ...but if enough players reach the levels or beyond what mkleo's performing as with that character, many will then call the character "broken"! Believe that. & why do u think that would be?? Is it because of the "amazing skill level" needed to have it played that way or the character's obvious tool advantages over the rest of the roster? It's always seems to be the latter. The full roster's not even out yet, why would I be calling joker "broken?" His move-set is just hilarious! Aresen hits the same way I expect bayo's demon smashes to, BUT HERS DON'T. that's hilarious to me! I know exactly why hers doesn't, yet we accept this iteration of aresen?? That's funny as hell!

@Damani Campbell never cried for nerfs (though i understand some) & i'd rather they buffed characters than nerf them.

Final smashes are inherently luck-based. Nothing Joker has is luck-based. You're looking at it the completely wrong way.

@@warp_skip Pwntagonist hmm... peach, G&W, hero, are sort of "luck-based" characters, so there's a place in the meta for it then. "Luck-based" can't solely be the qualifier for why it shouldn't be accepted. Imagine if sheik 40 secs into every new stock or match suddenly got the ability to temporarily tether-recover & hit like little mac in terms of damage out-put & knock-back, do u think people would accept that?? Like be for real. Cuz actually that's what joker's aresen mechanic is to me & I just find it funny how everyone tries to prove me otherwise, primarily because of how technical joker is to optimize. But he's not "technical" to pilot the entire match. The guy turns into "ganon w/ speed monado on" for a large portion of the match ...am I tripping here?

@@phRAWst Not trying to argue whether he's broken or not, just that the ROB final smash example was really fucking dumb. I'll say this though, Brawl MK and Smash 4 Bayo were waaaaaaay more broken than Joker and they never got banned, so I highly doubt he's going anywhere. There's not really a point of having this argument. It's much more productive to try to figure out and implement stuff that your character can do to beat Joker's options, or just pick up a top tier. There are always going to be some strategies that are better than other strategies in every game, that's the nature of games... in this case the better strategy is using Joker or some other top tier, that is if you're truly convinced your main can't do anything to beat him.

Do you disagree cloud having limit as well? All it is, is a power up for a limited amount of time with a worse recovery at that and joker has a hard time killing without his persona it’s just Leo is good

@@bubbles261 not questioning Leo's ability I've seen him win many tournaments without joker. & joker without arsene has kill-setups through edge-guarding or drag-down u-air into down-smashes or up-smashes if he's below a platform. Why should joker having a "hard time killing" be justification of that sort of overwhelming power-up? Bayo, meta knight, & sheik all have a hard time killing, where's their "temporarily hit like little mac for a moment" power-up during a match? ...we'd accept it for joker but not them, & I'm curious as to why though. No one's given me a legit answer yet.
