Gluto stuck with the character and made him work. Are you going to tell me that Tweek was so bad that he couldn't even make Wario work despite waft? The player deserves more credit here.

I read this and died LMFAOOOO 💀. Idk why it was so funny. I read it and visualized idk someone actually waking up, watching Leo win then immediately goes back to sleep with a smile on thier face.

Nah! I'm always stressed watching this man live because I want him to win it all. It means I get stressed ANYTIME he comes close to dropping a set. Thankfully that didn't happen too much this tournament, but those Varun and Sparg0 sets almost gave me a heart attack.

Beating one of your best friends over and over feels kinda sad. Because it is lonely at the top. You wouldn't lose on purpose, but winning so convincingly might hurt even more.

I think there's also the fact that Glutonny fought Light, Sparg0 and Leo with less than 10 minutes to pause himself combined. That doesn't change the fact that I think that he'd still lose otherwise, Leo is just way too good now but I think the set would've lasted longer than that. I think right now Glutonny is between top 3 and 6/7 because Zackray, Protobanham, Tea, Shuton. That looser run was Godlike: Beats Sisqui (as usual) Beats Kola (after getting eliminated by him 3 times in a row) Makes Zomba dirty Beats Light (in a very clear way) Idem for Sparg0 Ironically the moment I was the most scared for Glutonny was the match against the Bayonetta (before Top 8 begins I was like top 6 would be awesome)

@@untyprandom9740 regarding the bayonneta match gluto said he didn't want to sdi this early in the tournament because of his Tendonitis, therefore why it was hard. Regarding the grand finals, maybe his hand was painful at this point and couldn't play peak level anymore he didn't comment on it. Anyway being top 2 at genesis with Tendonitis and food poisoning is impressive

@@Abbaschand Eh, burnout can lead to top players taking month+ long breaks from competing. I don’t want to downplay the role that mid level, low level, and break out players have, but viewership depends quite a bit on top player attendance

I feel like there is zero people in the entire world that actually thought that MKLeo wasn't the best any longer. I think everyone in the comments is jist talking about inexistent people.

It’s just like the Sparg0 haters when he beat Leo with Cloud and won a major with mainly him. A lot of people said he was carried by Aegis, and now he rarely plays them and still gets great results.

That's because Gluto has been training with Leo for a while now and he feels the full weight of the gap he has to bridge every time. Same with Sparg0, Chag and Maister, all of them that get to play Leo often are more frustrated by the possibility of beating him than actually losing to him. They know they can do it, they just fall short ever so slightly. Leo is the King of Ultimate; no one is even remotely close to his mental game and adaptation, but that's really the only thing that separates him from everyone else. Leo loses one stock or SDs, he's not fazed in the slightest. Leo is losing 2-0 ? That doesn't mean anything, he just needs to win and to win and to win. Any other player noticeably plays different in those situations, but Leo stays consistent and always adapts. That's probably what's so frustrating about losing to Leo: it doesn't feel like you could've done much more, Leo is just the better player most of the time and that has to be demoralizing. You don't learn anything from watching him play except how to always keep up.

To tell the truth, it would be more of a fresh air, for so long he only won and never saw defeat to progress himself to become better. I think he is happy to finally know defeat to come out better than ever. (I assume it's that way, before genesis 8 he gave an interview that he was sick of only winning and the only defeat felt really good for him.)

Not gonna lie, I felt the same when I saw who was in grand finals and the 20min time frame didn't help either.

Well after the match against Sparg0 he had less than 10 minutes to prepare himself for that and he had less than 5 minutes between Light and Sparg0 it's ok to be tired after beating 2 players who are supposed to be stronger than you. With more time he would've lasted longer

ESAM eliminated Tweek, Ikan eliminated ESAM, I’m not sure who beat cosmos

None of them made it that far.

Except Leo really was planning on using Corrin this tournament and used both characters equally during his grinding streams before genesis. Man just decided to keep using his Byleth because of how well he was playing during the tournament. It's definitely a 'feeling' thing more than anything.

@@soqquadro7672 idk the thing with Steve is every good Steve plays different. They all play neutral kinda differently, place blocks differently, you can kinda mold Steve into how you play. You coming from a combo char? Steve is the king of combos. Neutral? Diamond Bair. Tnt. Jab. Uptilt. Burst options in the air with nil2 smash attacks. See a cloud spamming Bair? Run up when he's landing, nil2, fsmash.

not many characters can go as deep as Gluto's Wario was doing in these matches

@@jonsiarnar agreed, but im also talking about aerials right off the ledge to catch the tether, or doing up b as leo is coming up to catch his recovery. Its clear he's got more mu knowledge than most to know to go for stuff like that
