You can now add Aaron Boone getting tossed 2 pitches into the game because a fan was mouthing off. And, if course, there was the JT Realmuto ejection last year in spring training for absolutely nothing.
Give a random perspective of the game and retrospect. You'll see this all the time, oh shit.... you see it irregardless due to the same bulls shit with the same bulls shit shakedown.
Weird they showed 3 videos, one of a convict, you're seeing a contexted video of not true video 🤔 😂😂😂😂😂 ya'll corrupt. I been posting it. Stop bullshitting.
not really, just because you get paid millions to play a game, it doesn't give you the right to act like an ass. That is what pretty much all of these ejections were. Even an ejection after the last out costs the player money and a potential suspension....
After my last high school baseball game ended all three of my team’s coaches were given “postgame ejections” after our coach told us in our postgame meeting that we weren’t playing against 9 players we were playing against 2 guys. The umpires had been horrible all game including a ball that landed maybe 2 feet foul called fair resulting in a go ahead 2 run double for the other team that we never came back from.
"Sort of" happened but the fans killed the game. I was at Dodger Stadium August 1995 and it was ball night, they gave the fans balls as they entered. Raul Mondesi got ejected, that pissed off manager Tommy Lasorta who got ejected so that pissed off the fans who started throwing hundreds of balls on the field. The ump ended the game with a Dodger forfeit and thus even MORE balls thrown out. I kept mine, still got it ;)
the only point it will make is in the teams pocketbook. The team will be fined for refusing to play and the manager probably suspended. Despite the whining from the peanut gallery, the majority of the umps in MLB are over 95% accuracy. Angel Hernandez was never under 95% even with his weird calls here and there. There are actually websites that track that sort of thing. They also track every pitch and what it was called compared to what the actual computer used by MLB said it should be. The box you see on your TV is not accurate. It is off by a couple of inches from what MLB has. Since you seem to think it is easy to be an ump, you should go to your local little league and volunteer. They will appreciate the help and you will find out it isn't so easy to do....
I'd like to know if players or managers, coaches are being ejected more now than in the past. Would be interesting.

There are websites that track that. I know that a youtube channel called close call sports tracks ejections and could prob tell you specific numbers....
So many of these umps carry so much excess body weight. They appear to be very unfit and unhealthy. Occasionally you will see an ump who cares about his health and fitness. But they’re the minority in this carrier field.
Yeah, except we didn't have so much recorded media back in the day. I wonder if it looks different to us because we can now go back and watch every single minute of game footage then make a highlight real of it all. If you look at the actual number of ejections (Player w/most, manager w/most, umpire w/most, etc), they are all over the place. A majority of them are dead. Most that are still alive, are retired. I think we don't remember it because we didn't actually see it happened.
they have thicker skin than you ever will. nowhere in the rulebook says that they have to out up with bullshit from players or coaches

The players have such fragile egos. The act like spoiled children. They throw equipment, stomp around and yell if something doesn't go their way. What adult wants to put up with that crap. 99% of the ejections you see are for arguing balls and strikes. They know better but still do it. There is no rule that says the umps have to put up with verbal abuse. What makes you think it is ok? Would you like someone, wholly unqualified, to follow your around at your job to tell you how much you suck and cuss and swear at you? I imagine that person would be arrested pretty quick. Why should that be acceptable at a sports event. Bottom line is that is shouldn't be.....
I think when someone gets ejected from a game. They have the right for New York to find out what happened. Stop the Game. Find out what happened before they do that if they protest a call. Like the empires are above everything else and that's not right, especially that lousy garbage. angel hernandez
The MLB rule book basically gives umpires unlimited power to do whatever the hell they want whenever the hell they want. And with the umpires union they can’t be punished for doing something wrong.

Your smooth brain understands that Hernandez was never under 95% accuracy his entire career. Despite the weird calls he made, he stayed above that mark. Since you seem to think that it is so easy to be an umpire you should definitely go to your local little league and volunteer. I am sure they will appreciate your expertise. It will give the kids an opportunity to play and you an opportunity to learn it isn't nearly as easy to do when you are on the field instead of the stand swilling beer watching replays....

@@TimGambill1984 I can tell you have never officiated anything in your life. if you had you wouldn't be spouting such drivel. MLB and the minor leagues track umpire accuracy. The majority of umpires are at 95% accuracy or higher. Hernandez was never below 95% even with his weird calls from time to time. All of the umps on the diamond are far more competent when it comes to the game than you will ever be. You should go to your local little league and volunteer to call some games. You will learn very quickly that it is not easy to do and the kids will have someone willing to allow them to play. There is a shortage of sports officials in the US thanks to people with your attitude.

@@Darthvader-oc5tp Wrong. The umpires are absolutely punished if they make major errors. You don't hear about it because of union rules, but it happens. They can be fined, lose game assignments and if bad enough be sent down (depending on their contract). Despite what you might think, most of the umps in MLB are at 95% accuracy or higher. The league tracks that information and you can find it on various sites. They track every pitch thrown and every call made. The info is out there for anyone that wants to look....
I was at a double header where Earl Weaver (and Cal Ripken, Sr.) got thrown out of the first game then Earl Weaver got thrown out handing out the line up card for the second game. He was an expert.
Sometimes umpires are stupid. He really the guy out at the end of the game like what’s that gonna do all I had ejected you, but the game is over so it doesn’t really matter.
Please umpires want to be so dramatic and they want the fans to recognize who they are. When in reality they are just say small part of the game. And even so being a small part of the game they try to amplify their positions for some odd reason I believe it's a ego trip thing

ROFLMAO. They are a small part of the game? Really? You do understand if those 4 guys are not on the diamond, all of those millionaire babies don't have a game. The MLB umps are, for the most part, above 95% accuracy on their calls. MLB tracks that and it is easily available. If you think it is so simple, go volunteer at your local little league. They will appreciate having someone there so kids can play and you will quickly find out how hard it is to do the "small part of the game"
Ridiculous that the other umpire runs up to get in between Avilas and the umpire when Avilas is the one walking away and the umpire who tossed him keeps following. Umps have such fragile egos it's ridiculous. I guess they know they suck.

Since you are so good at it, sign up. I am sure they will appreciate your expertise. You should definitely go to your local little league and volunteer. You prob won't last a season but at least you will find out how hard it actually is. The ones with the fragile egos are the players. They throw equipment and stomp around like spoiled children. The umpires, for the most part, give the players plenty of opportunity to stay in the games. If you watch any of the MLB ejection compilation, 99% of the ejections are players whining about balls/strikes. Everyone knows that is not acceptable yet the children still do it. The umps give them a statement or 2 and then toss them. They don't have to give them anything.
@paulmiddleton4215 lol. No I haven't officiated before. But I did play growing up and I've seen enough sports to know that officials are nowhere near held accountable. Perfect example of this is Bill Vinovich in the NFL. Head official in the infamous Saints vs Rams no call that cost Brees a trip to the Super Bowl (don't bother debating me on this cause you won't change my mind). Vinovich has since been REWARDED with calling 2 Super Bowls. So yeah, I don't trust officials or sports leagues to get it right.
@@paulmiddleton4215 2 other great examples are Joe West and Angel Hernandez. These idiots will be robbing MLB of money by collecting retirement for the rest of their lives. I wonder how many of us would even stay employed, much less collect retirement if we made as many egregious errors on the job as they did?
Yep lol, if you put your finger on the spot where the top of his zone should be, the pitch comes in right at it. The only argument he would have is if it was inside which we can't tell from this view.
Clearly, the penalty for getting tossed isn’t high enough. MLB needs to do something about all these cry babies. It is the managers responsibility to talk to the umpire. Let them get tossed. The players getting tossed only hurt their team and team mates.
Remember the good ole days when Billy Martin would kick dirt on the umps shoes. Then Earl Weaver gets tossed. Immediately flips his cap backwards & let the umps have a face full. Yep. That was baseball.
@@kevinthetruckdriver353 yep, the Saturday game of the week with Joe and Tony. Everyone stood proudly for the national anthem even the players. I stopped watching when they started kneeling.
These umps need to get their egos checked...... they think people come to see them, and we don't. A lot of them are terrible and think they're important....
You gonna throw the guy out after the game is over? Lol REQUIRED DISCLAIMER: yes, I know what the rulebook says and yes I know the rules. This is a sarcastic joke based on the stupidity of MLB umpires. Some of you out there must be quite the hit at parties.
@@garygemmell3488 you really must be so fun at parties. I was referring to the absolute ridiculousness of the act and not whether the rulebook allowed it or not. I suppose some of us (you) need further explaining since the concept of sarcasm is lost on you.
@@Caderic okay Mr "well actually". I'll make sure to get the correct models & operating systems next time for you. No one is safe being vague or humorous around you are they?
I can't believe how people judge a situation when they have the benefit of hindsight that wasn't available at the time, especially when it's only been four years.
Something that happened the day before. The guy from the Sox got into it with whoever was on plate the day before. He volunteered to go out and say something to the effect of, "Just don't suck like this guy did."
usually the coach or manager wants to rehash a previous game. hey bunky that game is history. if it wasn't protested, its done for. move on to the next game.
Back when Major League Baseball was good. Managers like Billy Martin & Earl Weaver was in the Umps faces for 5 straight minutes before being ejected. Today with these very, very thin skin umps. All you have to do is think of *"BB"* in *"Boo"* & they will eject you. I've given up watching baseball about a decade ago. Haven't missed the sport.
I think a rule needs to be put in place for ejections. Maybe make it so all 4 umpires have to get together and discuss it after the initial ejections and a vote has to be taken from them with a 3 out of 4 to actually make the eject stick. The umpires have to have an ego check in place with how baseball has some of the worst officials in any sport. Also don't make the crew chief the umpire at home. He should be the one for 2nd base because of how much Home Plate umpires will cover their themself when they make mistakes.
By rule the umpires have jurisdiction once they enter the playing surface. If you want to act like an idiot because of a prior game and carry it to the next game's lineup exchange, expect to get tossed because your willingness to extend your anger to the next game means you will be a problem for the entire game. Kiss your ass good bye. I once worked a youth doubleheader. I was on the bases for the first game. The visiting coach rode my partner for seven full innings but did not step over the line. My partner, BTW, called a good game behind the plate. The ONLY person who had a problem was the visiting team's head coach. There was a 30 minute break between games to let us change gear and for everyone to hydrate a little. At the second game's lineup exchange the visiting coach was still berating my partner. My partner deferred to me since I was now the plate umpire and said "I want him gone.". I replied "You have the same power to eject him as I do. If you want him gone, do it.". He chucked his ass immediately.
also. ask why the coach acts so dramatic over a game situation that happened day/s ago. turn the lineup card in and discuss the ground rules for the upcoming game.
Violation of what? What does it violate? So you ave saying it's OK if a couch is using profanity towards an ump before the "game"? You do also realize, that line-up exchange and going over the ground rules is actually part of the game?
@@Caderic obviously it is a violation by umpire ejected without starting game they need a discipline it means to make it better and no more bad happened that's what discipline means.
The immaturity of players today is quite striking. No pun intended. They make millions of dollars to play a kids game and still whine like they're back in the days when they played for peanuts.
@@Caderic It’s not just about ejections. It’s horrible calls and some couldn’t call a ball or strike correctly if their life depended on it. Umpires are ruining baseball.
Imagine not being able to be good enough to play the sport so you have to be an angry ump to feel superior to pro players and throw them out over the most crybaby shit.
now thats funny! on who's part does the crybaby shit come from? the batter who just ate a called 3rd strike and didn't get a pitch grooved to him? or the official that got tired of those overpaid prima donna pissheads harping over every perceived injustice?
