51:28 is a underrated grand slam, no one ever talks about how Gravemen and Toro were traded for eachother and Toro went yard off of Gravemen. That was a huge grand slam and also a game I was at. The crowd when he hit that homer just went absolutely nuts.
20:32 I was at this game, I grew up watching the giants, more so I was born into the Giants. My dad and my dad's dad loved SF teams. He took me to see barry bonds in the mid 2000s and I became a fan. I was too young to appreciate what was going on, but by 2010 I was a super fan. We went to a game every single year, wish we could have gone to more, but live in central valley and money doesn't grow on trees, so go to 1 MAYBE 2 games a year. Well, we picked a great game to go to in 2021, because morale was low and this looked like a blowout. When yaz hit this grand slam, i cannot explain the euphoria i felt, I am forever obsessed with baseball because of this moment. Even if nobody reads this, I don't care, I am now a lifelong baseball lover because i got to experience this.
There was 167 grand slams in the 2021 season 162 in the regular and 5 in the postseason White sox:5 Twins:4 Indians:1 Royals:4 Tigers:5 Yankees:4 Red sox:5 Rays:10 Blue jays:9 Orioles:3 Astros:8 Rangers:1 Angels:5 Athletics:2 Mariners:6 Mets:4 Braves:11 Marlins:4 Phillies:5 Nationals:3 Cubs:6 Brewers:7 Reds:4 Pirates:4 Cardinals:5 Dodgers:11 Giants:6 Padres:7 Rockies:11 Diamondbacks:2
Idk about the rest of the list, but I can tell you the Red Sox had 6, not 5 1. Christian Arroyo @ Braves 2. Hunter Renfroe @ Blue Jays (Dunedin) 3. Travis Shaw vs. Twins (Walk Off) 4. J.D. Martinez @ Astros (ALCS) 5. Rafael Devers @ Astros (ALCS) 6. Kyle Schwarber vs. Astros (ALCS)
1:19 Glad I’m not a Yankees fan. I couldn’t put up with that announcer singing. 😂 8:03 Can you image being that Rockies pitcher giving up 9 runs in the first inning including the grand slam? 12:39 So many of these Braves who hit grand slams in the season weren’t even active when the Braves were in the playoffs. Imagine if they had been. 22:18 Duvall getting after it before being traded back to the Braves.

5:02 I was there and a few columns away when Story hit that monster no doubter. It was my first Rockies game since 2019, and damn it, it felt good to be back! (That had to have been the most hyped up I have seen Story in a while, 2018 to be exact).
20:36 20:39 20:37 20:38 wow! A grand slam! And the Giants have the lead and comeback from 7-0! And it is 9-8 Giants have a lead in the bottom of the eighth inning! 😊😊😊😊
Teams that hit a grand slam in the postseason went 2-2 in the games they were hit: Rays: after a Jordan Luplow grand slam, the Rays blew a 5-2 1st inning lead in ALDS Game 2 to lose 14-6 to Boston, tying the series. Boston would win in back-to-back walkoff fashion to go to the ALCS Boston: Hit two grand slams in the first two innings of Game 2 of the ALCS, one by J.D. Martinez and the other by Rafael Devers en route to a 9-5 win which tied the ALCS. The next game, Kyle Schwarber hit a grand slam in the 3rd inning to make it a 6-0 game. The Red Sox would win Game 3 12-3. The Red Sox would proceed to lose the next three games by a combined 23-3 Atlanta: Game 5, Adam Duvall hit a first inning grand slam to put the Braves up 4-0, only for Atlanta to choke (what a shock) and lose 9-5. The Atlanta Braves would proceed to win the World Series 4 games to 2, winning game 6 7-0
@@TheSonofabiscuit Boston was only up 2 games to 1, and Houston was favored in the ALCS, so when the Astros tied it up the next day, it looked more likely that the Astros would win than the Red Sox. Tampa Bay legitimately choked. They won 5-0 in game 1 and hit a grand slam in game 2, yet still lost games 2-4. Atlanta choking was hyperbolic. An overreaction poking fun of the Atlanta stereotype
@@TheSonofabiscuit they won both games that the grandslams were hit, but that only put em up 2-1 in the series, he just said that, if it was 3-1 then I’d consider it a choke, but 3 grand slams don’t make the series loss a choke when the series is close
