@@lukascho6297 Japanese (along with other languages) doesn't look down at repeating a word/phrase multiple times to emphasis it. In English, it sounds strange because it's not done.
I don't think so he's naturally funny so I don't think he will faking his bad english in the camera one thing is for sure he can understand what his teammate is saying if your learning english you know how it feels to understand what people around you saying and you can't even say anything because you're still not that good im really bad at english back then but over the years its gotten better but its still bad tho compared to others
He should get a ring that's bs he was still on the team that's just sad would they do that to a player that only played 14 games then got injured the rest of the season like just give the guy a ring I ain't see Joe Maddon play a single game but I'm sure as hell he got a ring if you're apart of the team you're apart of the team bro damn fuck give this man a ring
Having one Japanese guy, just learning English and having this attitude just makes everything better. I think he gave the team a good time. Kawasaki a legend.
It was sad to see him leaving MLB. It was also very sad to see him leaving NPB due to his dysautonomia. I hope we can share some good moments in stadiums near future
He loves it.. he explains that he is learning English then absolutely says the most recent phrase he's learned. That one happened to be 'See you tomorrow' lmfaoooo
An internet comment I once read: "Japanese athletes like to use interpreters because they're worried the words might not come off right." They've clearly never watched Kawasaki.
i get serious norm macdonald vibes from kawa. the way he cracks his teammates up instantly makes me think he knows exactly what he’s doing when he’s being interviewed
All the other Japanese players be like "I have a translator because I don't want to misspeak and disrespect the fans by accident or dishonor the game Kawasaki be like: "HE BIG KAWA SMALL. MONKEY NEVER CRAMPS. MUCHO MUCHO HOME RUNS"
After WBC, Kawasaki (he was on TV a lot as a commentator during WBC) talked to Lars Nootbaar’s mom on zoom and she said Lars ate bananas during the competition as “Monkey never cramps because they eat bananas”😂😂😂 She was thanking Mune for his great contribution ❣️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mune is beloved because he reminds us of our inner child and the pureness of how we used to approach life. It's nostalgia, harkening back to the days before we were so politically divided, and the much harsher and jaded way we view life and each other. Cheers to you Kawa.. even though we are all big, you remind us that we should all be small. 🍻
