Geniune question: Is there a reason you emphasize the last word of every sentence? Is it normal speech or is it to retain attention? A psychology thing? I probably sound dumb but really noticed it this video. Great video by the way!❤

My pick for worst ever has always been George Scott. in 1967 he hit .303 with 19 home runs as a young player.. but then in 1968 in 124 games he .171 with 3 home runs and drew only 26 walks. He only had 387 plate appearances though. His OPS was 40 compared to Davis's 49. in 1969 Scott improved to 16 home runs hitting .253. Davis though other than two or three seasons wasn't all that consistent, struck out an immense amount of times and his .233. Scott was a consistent .270-.280 20-30 home run kind of player for 10-12 years. It was just that one weird year. Then there's Andruw Jones in 2008. The one where in the prime of his career he just decided to stop trying. 238 plate appearances 3 home runs, .158 BA with a 35 OPS. He did a little better the next year but underperformed for the next few years and was out of the league at 35.

The owner is Peter Angelos but the photos you keep showing is his son John who is running the team now. While they are both awful at running a franchise it is in drastically different ways it was the father that made the terrible decision to sign Davis when no other team was bidding for him.

In a discussion such as this, I always think about George Scott. His 3rd year was truly miserable. And out of the blue. He did not get enough plate appearances in 1968 to qualify for the list of really bad seasons mentioned here, batting .171, however he still won a Gold Glove at first base. But he was able to bounce back and have a pretty decent career (and 6 more GGs). But Davis is the one I have the most sympathy for.

It amazes me that NO one wants to address the 400lb. Gorilla in the room. What happened to Chris is what happens to players that get BIG money, life style changing contracts. Their Bats all seem to shrivel up. Still do not want to admit the cause? These players were JUICED up to the Hilt!!! And when they landed the BIG money deal. They dropped the Juice to avoid from getting caught. So when they became JUICELESS, they became USELESS! This is Human nature at work, when there is a brass ring to get, people will do WHATEVER it takes to get it. So the ROID Era was never over, it has just become a down-low affair. Still don't want to believe it, I have Five little words for you to remember: ROBINSON CANO, DON'T YOU KNOW!!!! By the way, the constant Non-Contact connective tissue injuries are cause by OVER use of weight training and not allowing the body to heal properly between training sessions. EGO lifting plays a major role in these injuries. All due the being Juiced up.

However, Mr. Davis' poor play was a great story that I was happy to share with my young children. For starters, he leaned on his family for support. As I tell my wife, "I will make a lot of mistakes in our relationship. But we have to defend each offer". Mr. Davis always hustled and played hard. He remained a good teammate, and he took the boos in stride. While he might be considered a failure and an embarrassment, I tell my children that I hope all of them grow up to embarrass me like this.
