my bias here, but the walkoff throw to the plate by chris taylor against the padres was also pretty cool. also yes will smith vs will smith in the postseason (happened last yr when RP smith was on the giants)
@@jjoutdoors499 One of the Red's commentators got caught using a homophobic slur on air when he thought his mic was off. He was then on air giving a very inauthentic apology when Castellanos homer'd. He stopped apologizing to call the homer and returned to apologizing by saying "I don't know if I'll ever put this headset on again." The home run call became a huge meme in online baseball communities.
This was a weird season but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were a lot of doubters, and a lot of ups and downs as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame.
What was he apologizing for anyway, Not being the biggest baseball fan in the world was watching this vid to catch up on the interesting things and didn't know why that was even in the video or why he was saying that. sounded like he said something earlier that he knew he was gonna get fired for later lol who knows.
How is taking a stand against discrimination soft? To me, decades of just letting it happen without consequence seems soft. Not standing up to people who say that type of shit is far weaker than doing something about it, and the only people who get mad about it are the people who want to be able to speak like that in public
With everything else that had been going on, the United States almost forgot that the Astros are cheaters. Joe Kelly reminded them and in that instant, he became an American hero
Ughhhh I'm so sick of this copypasta. I just wish people would find a new joke as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame. I don't know if I'm going to be putting on this headset again.
@@edwardryan393 that's thom brennaman, who used to be the reds' play-by-play announcer. last season he used a really nasty homophobic slur when he thought his mic was off, but later in the game someone told him he'd actually been live on the air. so he gave this cringey apology during the game, but stopped partway through the apology to call a home run by nick castellanos. he resigned shortly afterward
@@JonahLoeb ouch! Sucks for them but youd think he'd know how his own equipment works right? Lol But thanks for being a bro and letting me know, surprised I never heard about that during the season.
I can tell your a White Sox fan!. A's beat the Sox in the Wild Card yet no A's highlights from there, but 2 from the White Sox, the losing team? Still great content! Im just sad the A's lost dont mind me

Bro the white Sox are an improved team Giolito threw a no hitter four straight homers the As only went to the postseason because the giants were throwing games cause they knew they We’re gonna lose to the Sox’s
@@knxcholx I mean it does, this game was after a tragic event due to social injustice, and one of the main people that had to deal with social injustice due to his skin color was Jackie Robinson.
The 42 jerseys and 42 second moment of silence is perfectly fitting with baseball’s history. If you have a problem with “politics” in baseball you’re the one that’s wrong. Baseball has been at the fore front of social change. Accept it. We don’t have a kaepernick because ours came in 1947. His name was Robinson. Born in Cairo Georgia, raised in Pasadena California. He endured punishment you can’t even imagine.
Me waiting for ozunas 3 Homer game against Boston and Duvalls 3 Homer game against Boston and Ozzie Homer and Mark catching it in the bullpen 2 games in a row
@@isaiah3842 the announcer was caught saying a slur on tv when he thought his mic was off, he then gave a very unauthentic apology, stopped to give a hr call, and then resumed his apology (11:07)
A historical season in every way. We will be talking about the 2020 season for a million of reasons. Still loved it for being baseball. Greetings from The Netherlands.
I didn't like the idea of a bogus 2 month season at first, plus I figured the Cubs were gonna be "4th place" like the "experts" and fans said. But they ended up winning the division. Yu Darvish a Cy Young candidate. Idc about the playoff outing. They weren't supposed to be there, apparently, so I didn't expect them to do a lot anyway. The sky may be falling to some, but let's go for a 7th straight contending season next year Cubs! To some only the World Series matters. Idk how you can enjoy the game that way. If they're contending and making the playoffs, I'll take it.
you know for all his flaws, thom brennaman really did try to continue his father's legacy as there's a drive into deep left field by castellanos it will be be a home run, and so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame
So because of corona rules do they wipe all the balls down with Lysol before every throw or is there just anti rona particles floating around the stadium?
think of myself as a... a man of faith. as theres a drive into deep left field by castellanos, it will be a home run. and so that'll make it a 4 nothing ballgame.
"Do not appologise" ???????????? What???????????? How about you don't somehow try and make the imminent threat of 100+mph fastball at your head a reasonable worry. Do not appologise? That guy should be fired for even making that seem like a legitimate thought and spreading that.
I just couldn't get through the rest of this short season. It was just boring without live fans and such. Yeah I know there were real fans during the playoffs, but by that point I was just waiting for your highlight packages.
Imagine watching that reds game against the royals like I did and he’s talking about what he did and you don’t care and then castiannos probably spelled that wrong but he hits a home run and you start cheering I mean like your cheering for the home run but the thing that he’s saying in the back round like lol btw that happens to me
@@jsoqbwbeks2653 while the first clip is mostly about black lives matter yeah, they're mostly taking a moment of silence specifically to honor Jackie Robinson. He was the very first black man to play in major league baseball. That's why they mention in both moment of silence clips that they stayed quiet for 42 seconds exactly. That was his number. In the 2nd clip you can actually see all the players wearing the number 42 on their jerseys too. He's a major historical figure in the MLB

"This is not supposed to be happening, because of social distancing!" LOL That actually is not supposed to be happening because brawls in sports are bad, and participants often get fined and even suspended for doing it! They have ruined sports!
29:01 And now, a word that you'd thought you would NEVER see in a comment on a MLB video. Scorigami. Yes, this was MLB Scorigami! 151 years of Major League Baseball up to that point, and before then, there had never been a game with a final score of 29-9.
With everything else that had been going on, the United States almost forgot that the Astros are cheaters. Joe Kelly reminded them and in that instant, he became an American hero
Nothing more heroic than trying to intentionally injure people over some hurt feelings. Fuck the Astros but any pitcher who tries to hit people is an embarrassment and a child.
Cash did the same thing in game seven against the Astros to Charlie Morton in the sixth inning with only 66 pitches nobody said anything because they won , but that's what he does, why be surprised?
Why do we spend a full minute on Aaron Judge having a multi homerun game? Are we that bias? Yes, it is impressive it was five straight games, but in a little league park with an incredibly juiced ball. The clip before, Bieber ties an MLB record that hasn't been touched in over fifty years. How about we show ten different angles of that strikeout?
