It’s so ridiculous. While I don’t LOVE my job, I LIKE my job and that’s enough. Also I LIKE my 401k, paid vacation time and health insurance! Oh and guaranteed pay every other Friday, regardless of my performance during that month/week etc

I don’t understand why some companies have to be a mlm. Why can’t the sellers sell directly from the company? No teams or anything. You sell a $5 piece of jewelry the company gets half and you get half or even you get $2 for every piece. Don’t understand how that wouldn’t work. I like costume jewelry but I’m not going to support that business scheme.
@@ShanaLawson because mlm business owners want more profit. They don’t see the impact the mlm reputation would have, nor would they care, because to them, this model is more profitable. Some may be more self-aware than others, but that’s what it comes down to. Profit as much as possible, then when the heat becomes too much (legally or otherwise) dip out and take the money.

it's so funny to me, as someone who makes and sells handmade jewelry (for MUCH more than $5 most of the time, though I do have a few pairs of very simple earrings about that much), to see someone trying to sell low quality jewelry (that they didn't make) telling me i hate my job

loved the video! just regarding the income: we need to stress again and again that these income statements DONT involve any expenses, and the way we know MLMs, they usually are “encouraged” to buy tons of products, so their actual income is much much lower… 🥴🥴🥴
My cousin just joined some coffee diet drink MLM and actually posted the income statement on her FB. I was thinking why would you do that? They truly get people to belive they are gonna hit the top of the scale vs the 99%.
"You will never make more than your boss [in a traditional job]." So? First, there will always be people who make more money; as long as I have a salary good enough for ME, I'm good. Second, in a regular company structure there is one thing that certainly keeps getting bigger as you move up the chain: responsibility - and with more responsibility comes more money. That is perfectly normal.
Yes to the responsibility and liability involved as you move up! Also I hate the “you’ll never make more than your boss”. That is 100% false. I have a few people (engineers) who make more than I do and I’m their boss bc they have 20+ years and more technical skills than I do. It’s super common in the professional industry and I love giving that jab back when the boss argument comes up 😆
Not to mention that in a conventional JOB, one gets insurance, a stable income, paid holidays and vacations and possibly more benefits. These are GOOD things.
These reps that say there are no quotas never highlight the "PV" one needs to spend to be "active." Many require $200 per month - that's $2400 you spend every year!! Yikes.

They all push that they are working hard now so they don’t have to later and they will be getting all this passive income but you can NEVER stop working in an mlm , even if you are apart of the top 0.1% because you are forever plugging up the holes in your down line and harassing those still in it to spend more money and give more of their time . There is NO freedom in the world like being in one of those meetings at a real job, having already put in your two weeks' notice, when your boss DOES do this. I honestly don’t care about what society “dictates”. Job security is that anyone with common sense desires. Let’s say someone is doing temporary jobs, I’m pretty sure that they would also prefer job security. These huns are so delusional.
That Paparazzi lady is extra delusional. First of all, I love my job. A lot of people do. And guess what? I’m in sales. My income is actually uncapped - it’s called earning commission. Oh, and I also earn a great base salary and benefits. Second of all, It’s so obvious these women just have no idea what real businesswomen do all day. Screaming on Facebook Live is NOT a productive activity. All it does is show how utterly inept they are in communicating with and persuading people. I mean, why does no one think to read a book about sales/marketing/communication? Actual sales professionals have a set process to follow and actually have to qualify prospects; MLMers genuinely think fucking everyone needs the business/product. No thought is ever given to who might be the ideal consumer. And they never, ever take “no” for an answer. Someone telling you they aren’t interested means you stop bugging them. It’s disrespectful and all it’s doing is wasting your own time.
Hanna you are always so well spoken, and clear with your communication. You obviously take the time to think through and understand the topic you bring in each video. Also, even though the market is saturated with people that think they are good at it; I think you should have a 2nd channel where you share your thought process around your color coordination and your accessories. You are always so presentable. Keep up the honest discussions!
I greatly appreciate the way you do your vids. You don't employ ableism, or paint a target on the individuals who have been sucked into the mlm structure - it's very refreshing, and incredibly pleasant for someone like me who has mental health issues to see. Too often I see other anti-mlm creators employing ableist terms to criticize individuals, and they never bother censoring faces or names, which always leads to their followers harassing people. It's so awful, because that kind of harassment only causes people to double down and dig into their bad situation even deeper. (Much akin to when two close friends were in abusive relationships, the more people tried to get them to leave, the more they defended the relationship and wanted to stay - only after I got people to back off and simply post information about red flags did the friends come to the realization on their own and leave.)

@@barefootGemini I watch a lot of RU-vidrs who live in Japan, and their Q1 doesn't begin until April, new beginnings that are timed when the cherry blossoms form (same as when the Japanese school year starts, hence all the cherry blossoms in a lot of anime, lol). So I guess it's different for each country. America usually starts Q1 in January, making things pretty easy to keep up with, but of course, some companies might not follow that.

So I'm a live streamer and the lady that was shaming her audience for not commenting on and sharing her live just really appalls me. Even though I love it when my viewers chat with me I always make it clear that they don't have to but it's definitely encouraged because I feel like if you force someone to talk to you then it's not as genuine. Therefore when they do chat with me it's super fun and engaging and that's what I like when I stream. I'm a small streamer right now so there are times when I stream and I barely get any comments but I value the comfort of my audience so I would never force them to chat with me if they don't want to even if I go a whole stream without getting anyone in the chats.
I would bet good money that part of why your viewers DO engage with you is because you make it fun and rewarding for your viewers to do so. If people don't engage, it's not something they're doing to/at you. They're just not interested, so you learn from what does and doesn't work to interest them.

In my country it’s against the law for sales people to ask or pressure once a person says no twice. It’s the best maybe it’s worthwhile for Americans to bring that up to reduce the harassment.

Um, I put in my time as a public school teacher with a structured pay system. I retired at 52 and a half with a great pension and great insurance, that is reasonable. When I turn 65, it will cost 165.00 a month for my healthcare that will pay for what Medicare does not cover. A company with no retirement plan, paid sick days and vacations- you better run! Run, if you are supposed to sell a product and you have to buy the product. That paparazzi or whatever it is is cheap as hell. The kiddos do not even want it if it is in the prize box! Seems like LulaRue where you have to buy a bunch of product that you cannot even pick out. I had a friend that lost 5000. in LulaRue. Sad!

Oh man.... I really hope I never gave that woman any of my money.... I own a lot of pieces of their jewelry and I love what I have, but I totally agree with you about the vast majority of it being hideous. The amount of their things I actually like is literally a drop in the ocean of everything they've come out with, which to my understanding is somewhat on purpose because the goal is to have the most variety so people will spend more time looking through your stuff, but that strategy backfires really bad when more than 99% of it is stuff most people wouldn't wear.
I'm in a Facebook group that I don't ever participate in but I watch and chuckle to myself sometimes. It's called how much for the couch. I wish that they would find and troll his paparazzi woman because her meltdown would be fantastic. They go on people's lives and ask them how much for random things around their house and people get so angry 🤣
OMG that Paparazzi rep reminds me of one of my Pool volunteer colleague's (that thankfully left) 😅 We teach kids how to swim and she would scream her head off to the ones in the deep end and wonder why the kids where so annoying and bad 🤦🏻♀️ I got that group after she left, 6 weeks before testing if they could go up for their certification. I just calmly told them the requirements, timeframe and what I needed from them before starting and they showed up and did the work! Without me screaming my lungs out

I just spent money on handmade puppets from a small business. And I’ll spend a lot of time writing and memorizing scripts, working on movements and presentation, etc. Now I find out I could have joined an MLM for similar cost/time investments? And all I feel is relief at putting my time and money into something I enjoy! 😂
