damn I thought I was being unique by picking Union over FC Dallas in my bracket! great minds think alike (unless they both get knocked out right away. then we won't speak of this)

Here is my predictions: First round EAST: I agree with your prediction for the FCC vs NYRB game 2-2 Cincy wins in pens. I also agree that Montreal will win 2-0 over Orlando. I think Miami might just be able to pull one over NYCFC in a 2-1 contest, however I am expecting to be wrong on this one. First Round WEST: I think the Galaxy will manage to beat Nashville 1-1 in pens. Dallas beats Loons 2-1, though I'll be rooting for Minnesota in the playoffs. Austin beats RSL 3-1. Expecting RSL to surprise us again though. Semi Finals EAST: Union beat Cincy 3-3 in pens. However I think Cincy could likely be Union's toughest challenge to make it to the cup. If they play like they have against them in the past Cincy could win it. Montreal wins 3-1 over Miami. Higuain scores his last goal for Miami. Semi Finals WEST: Galaxy beat LAFC 3-2 in a el trafico classic. Curse of the regular season champion will take effect here. Austin beats Dallas 2-0. Conference finals EAST: Union win 4-2 over Montreal. Conference finals WEST: Austin wins 2-1 over Galaxy. Finals: Union wins 2-1 against Austin FC in a tight contest at Subaru park. Union will be the 2022 MLS Cup Champions. Made this prediction all the way back when they were getting 4+ goal games back to back.

wouldn't be surprised if RSL beats austin. RSL is a scary team in the playoffs, they're known for upsets. They managed to eliminate sounders last years with 0 shots on target.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too shocked to see RSL play David and Goliath again this year. Sure, Kreilach's out and MacMath is a different GK from David Ochoa, but if we've learned anything from last year's playoffs, it's that RSL does better the lower you think of them. With Austin's end-of-season slump, I'd predict an RSL upset, but I don't think they could handle Dallas in Round 2. And if they did make it, LAFC had a domineering record against RSL in the regular season, so if the West came down to those two, I see Banc of California Stadium hosting MLS Cup 2022.
