never got over that loss ... talk about a heartbreak... when your small 3 tier team you grew up with is one half away from being continent champions but then... 4 goals... i cryed ... for weeks This is the story of a miracle that turned into a disaster 2020 redemption year !

You forgot a major thing: we had to find a new keeper just for the leg 2 of the final because Evan Bush was suspended and Max Crepeau and the other substitute were injured. So it fell on Nicht, a second keeper in a USL team...

Awesome video! I would have mentioned the USL version of the Montreal Impact's quarterfinal run back in 2009 when they got knocked out by Santos Laguna in that wild return leg as a bonus. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for watching! And I agree. I contemplated adding the 2009 run after I finished recording, but I decided against it. Now a day later I’m regretting that

How do you only have 141 subscribers? Your the best MLS content creator on RU-vid. Your goal should be 500 subscribers. Say that on your videos and people will respond.

Fun fact: Pachuca’s Stadium was used for the first ever Latin American Netflix series ever made which was about a Mexican soccer team that doesn’t exist in real life but the series was made in the city of Pachuca but in the show their based in the fictional town of Nuevo Toledo

This guy said that Montreal and MLS didnt take the CCL seriously? Thats is 100% a false statement. Ever since RSL made the final, MLS teams and fans have been pushing for a team to win that trophy to the point where MLS even started changing the schedule around in favor of MLS teams so that their CCL matches wouldn't "conflict" with their MLS season schedule. This was the case for Montreal Impact - MLS was bending over backwards to push them to the final even annoying Montreal Impacts mls season opponents because of all the rescheduling but sure ok "mls didnt take ccl seriously".

An important fact to say in Sounders vs Tigres quarterfinals is that Tuca Ferreti don't cares about international tounaments in that time, he send a u-20 team to preliminary round of Libertadores against a chilean team. In CCL he only used the A team in the first leg vs Seattle, in the second leg sended the B-C Team, very different situation with their rival Monterrey that send the A team for the majority of the tounament.

Officially, the team’s name is actually Red Bull New York, just like Red Bull Salzburg in Austria. But we usually just call them the NY Red Bulls because that fits our usual Americanized teams names better.

I couldn’t believe how Montreal lost the final agaisnt America 😟
@ameforlif
@ameforlif 3 года назад
If you can’t believe it than you were watching different games, America in the first leg had 24 shots on target compared to Montreal’s 3 shots on target. America wasn’t make their chances and gave Montreal a lil hope but still no chance. Even Club America’s goalkeeper after the first leg said, “ a good result for them would’ve been a 5-1 lead, this one goal won’t help in Canada.” He was right

Listen, man even if MLS team won a CCL MLS team would of to do it several times like the Liga MX side to really put really say MLS is for there level because can't really use one year judge the two league by it has to be a regular thing for the MLS league and when that continues to happen u will see the difference with the USMNT too

Bush not being in goal for Montreal in the final is what lost them the game tbh.

You have some facts wrong, pachuca is not a big club in Mexico. The big clubs in Mexico are America, chivas, cruz azul, and pumas. Also America beat Tigres in the following final in concacaf champions league, not santos laguna.
@michaelstein7510
@michaelstein7510 4 года назад
Pachuca certainly aren’t a big club in Mexico in terms of tradition and fan support. But winning 6 Liga MX titles and 5 CONCACAF titles in the last 25 years is very impressive. That’s more than any of the traditional big clubs have won those trophies in the last 25 years. For a team new to MLS like Montreal to beat such a successful Mexican team was shocking. Montreal’s run is way more surprising than Toronto’s run a few years ago.
