So glad I found this channel, thanks so much for uploading all these behind the scenes videos, Kate! I'm a massive NIN fan and (former) MM fan, so all these have been a real delight.
This is absolute gold. When they were an actual band at their best and most original . Daisy's guitar playing is everything, the group lost it's soul when he left.
This really showcases how Scott's (Daisy) guitar parts were just as important in carrying the band as Manson's voice and vocals were. When Scott left it just wasn't the same ever again. I believe Trent at one point even mentioned to Manson that his band was going to lose a big part of what made them who they are if they lost Scott. He was right.
@KateVanBuren These shows were so great. I saw so many of him opening and then The Limelight in NYC solo, etc. Do you have footage or stories from the Night of Nothing from Irving Plaza, NYC '96? Such a great lineup with Kevin McMahon (Prick), Clint Mansell (PWEI), and Richard Patrick joined for HLAH at the end. It was the day after the VMAs in NYC so everyone from Dr Dre to Anthony Kiedis were there. MM cracked the drummer's head with a mic stand and walked off which was pretty disrespectful on a night for NIN. I kinda stopped going to MM shows after that bc it was a big deal to get a voucher early morning as a fan that only i could use so there was no scalping. Great idea. I was syked to hear MM 2nd album and he did 4 songs and walked. I hit Halloween that '96 but didn't hit any of his shows after that. 'Portrait' is a great album and will always be. Both sets (MM, NIN) are on RU-vid. Thanks for the posts. ❤
How sure are you about the place? According to "ninlive" there are 2 appropriate dates, april 23/24, 1994, but it's 100% not. All this "jim rose" thing was in between september-december. Specifically California dates was in between September 30 and October 10. But none of them in Francisco/Warfield. Try to clarify the info if it's possible)
I’m not exactly sure of the date - but if you could help me figure it out, I would appreciate it. I would like to be as accurate as possible. I will check out ninlive and see if I can narrow down the date.
@@katevanburen The question is not the date, but the place. Jim Rose was involved in mm-opening between beginning of september and beginning of december. I have about 10 audio/video introductions by Jim from those days. None of them match (i mean he speaks a little bit differ everytime). According to how Manson looks, I can guess it's october and something like "14th in Oakland" sounds appropriate for me. But it's all like to break a butterfly on the wheel. I told you, that stuff is really rare) So, ball's in your court)
