watching this made me feel like i was there, i could almost "the warehouse" smell of the arena and the anxiety before the show. 😀. one thing i could learn from this video is that NIN put The Idiot by Iggy Pop from the crowd before the show. also no smartphones, people are shocked to see your camera haha. we don't get enough audience shot with fan made footage because they all focus on the bands, so thank you for these chronicles <3 it helps with understanding the ambiance of being there 🙂 i'm wondering if some kids have already found their parents in these videos haha ;-)

Who would want to live there after such horrific murders not me I would pray over that house and command every evil spirit to go in the mighty name of Jesus before I ever stayed there and there is no other power higher than the name of Jesus ❤✝️

I thought the same thing. But even if the cameras picked up the intruders, there's nothing Garretson could've done about it because the very first thing they did was cut the phone lines. No way to call out for help. So Garretson and Parent might have gone outside to confront the killers, having no way of knowing they were killers, and would've been killed themselves. Parent of course, was killed, but in his car driving away.

Jeff Franklin, the now controversial creator and producer of Full House built the mansion that replaced this gorgeous home. I believe though he either just sold it or is still looking to offload the house. So peaceful that piece of history looked yet eerie it would be at night with the quiet and obvious history.

I couldn't have slept in that house by myself without a couple of good mean guard dogs outside and a few guns on me - I'd still been freaked out to sleep there - I wouldn't have tried to do so solo.

I was exposed to Marilyn Manson through NIN fandom. I was still in high school and I scored tickets to see them in Philly where Manson opened for them. They were pretty unpolished and did really strange things like throw dildos around on stage. I found it to be a distraction to how good they actually were… almost like they were searching for a gimmick to sell their music when their music was good enough on its own. I only knew one Marilyn Manson fan at the time and he went to the NIN show to see him. I thought he was crazy but turns out he’s the OG. I eventually grew to like MM more than NIN over time… sadly both of them have declined to a point where I just listen to their old stuff. Interesting fact… my wife was at this same concert almost 20y before I met her.

Huge fan of Trent, but I really don’t like how him and Manson purposefully edged Daisy Berkowitz out of the band.. He was such a talent and ‘Portrait’ Is by far my favourite Manson album. RIP :(

No that happened in the main house. This is footage of the guest house. This is where Linda Kasabian claims Tex told her to check the guest house and kill anyone there. With Tex watching from afar, she tried to open the door but pretended it was locked. It wasn't, and Garretson was "sleeping" inside only a few feet away. Luckily Tex didn't pursue it further, which of course saved Garretson's life.
