MMDA Baclaran PNP SWAT 

This video shows todays MMDA operation to clear parts of Baclaran.

Yesterday the MMDA were attacked by the vendors while trying to clear the road under Baclaran LRT (Pasay).
They were punched, strangled and pushed. Unfortunately a lot of the violence wasn’t caught on camera, but I have the ending where the Kagawad came in and took his turn against the team.
The man in green is a Kagawad and also the leader of the vendors under Baclaran LRT.
In my previous video, I showed how the MMDA had compromised with the vendors, allowing them to place their stalls in certain defined areas.
Unsurprisingly, the vendors continued to occupy ALL of the sidewalk and ALL of the road.
Remember, what you see in my video is not the real Baclaran. That’s just how it looks when they know the MMDA are coming. The rest of the time, the road is completely impassable, except to motorcycles. I’ve shown that in a previous video when I visited the area without the MMDA.
Sometimes people argue that these are just simple people trying to earn a basic living. But that’s not true. The vendors of Baclaran are highly organized and professional. The average vendor can earn more in one day than a member of the MMDA clearing team will earn in a week.
The problem is, those earnings come at a great cost to the country. Commuters coming down from the train station can’t even get a jeep or tricycle anymore. Drivers and commercial vehicles get stuck in traffic for hours. Pedestrians risk their life walking in the road between vehicles and the whole area is just generally chaotic and dirty.
