Unfortunately you will find many European models are not available in the US. It's mainly about homolgation issues but also that US buyers have traditionally favoured larger coachbuilts. That said, we have seen more European designs, especially van conversions, being introduced into the US market recently. Thor's acquisition of the Erwin Hymer Group will probably increase this trend so, hopefully, you will be getting more Europe-style models in the coming years.

@@MotorhomeCampervan I am all for van conversion but the body expansion, like the bunk bed over the cab and the width/height is not something you can do on your own. The smart use of little space is where Eupriean models are far ahead. Amazingly enough, this is not rocket science and the ideas can be easily incorporated by other manufacturers. US RV builders are still stuck in the 1970s designs. Another interesting point is the super high markup in the US market. This RV in us market is well over 150k but it's going for about 90k in the EU! how is that even possible?

Yes there is a huge difference between US and European motorhome designs. In Europe, we're more focussed on practicaility and comfort but within the most compact floor area and on as lightweight a chassis as possible. Most are now within the 3.5-tonne (3,500kg) category and yet have almost all the comforts of motorhomes that were previously on 4-tonne or heavier chassis only a few years ago. It's not a surprise that very few RVs are now imported or sold in Europe. On the reverse, companies like the European Erwin Hymer Group have now moved into the North American market, so you may well get European styled motorhomes over there!
