I installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge in my 77 Chevy truck maybe 20 years ago with the plastic line,to my complete surprise is hasn't busted yet..
Tthats what im going to use on a 98 mustang cobra with a oil cooler. Was wondering if anyone had used this kit. Glad to see it works for you. I was just going without the oil cooler thats on cobras. Dont think i would have used a plasic oil line. Only metal but nice job other wise. Glad theres no leaks. There on ebay for the kit around 100 dollars. Nice job.

Wow what a pain. Why couldn’t someone make a spin on adapter like we had in the old days. I absolutely hated doing oil changes on those fords that had the oil filter right above the rack. Always made a mess and had to spend more time cleaning it up than the time it took to change the oil
Did my MK8 relocation, braced engine and dropped k-member, replaced power steering lines, moved battery to trunk (opposite side from panthers) and used welding cables, replaced expansion tank with meile tanks, used cantor plate, pulled oil pan and replaced gasket (was leaking) put oil filter and oil cooler where battery was, rotated power distribution for clearances - a year later neighbor ran into it and totaled 🤦♂️
Here is the knock off it you will have to do some sourcing on, such as the Oil Filter Adapter - it's 13/16x16 in the adapter and out of the adapter - it's hard to find it both ways because most are 13/16x16 inside and m22 x 1.5 outside the plate and it's difficult to find a filter wide enough to take this mounting base Check this out! a.co/d/gsuwe4s

Yep I don't think you went to the library to look at the turbo videos that I did already You can either have a turbo problem or you could have a solenoid boost control problem
My 1999 Honda CR-V 4cyl has a nightmare p.i.t.a. oil filter location. I wish I could find a relocation kit myself to install just like Rich. I'm to the point on that CR-V where I just drain and refill engine oil and skip changing the filter. Between twisting my arm into 3 different shapes - getting oil drained on my face and burned plus almost ripping the O2 wires to fit oil filter wrench in tight space. Yea, definitely need a relocation kit or just give up doing it myself and take the chance at a jiffy lube going forward.
Oil pumps usually are at the front of the engine. To initially build pressure the oil has to move to the rear of the oil galleries before pressure goes up. Pressure begins from the rear of engine to the front. Engines have been found to have more wear on the front bearings
What is on yours now? Is it a FL 500 or a FL 820? The FL 820s have a m22x1.5 thread pitch so you would have to find a filter that has the same base plate but just longer
Boss, I might have used some woven wire lume , and ran the zip tie through it around that hose, might be to sharp on the edges with that hot water running through it, But I'm only a ? looks good.
I’ve got 6,000 miles on my oil and it looks newer than your 2,000 miles on your oil. Guessing it’s because I have a Amsoil Bypass system on my 2000 7.3.
Great vid as always; the Panther Platform is a great setup. I saw you had a bottle of that ATS 505 CRO that is being pushed moderately by another RU-vidr. I’m looking forward to your review. My engine is still not leaking oil, but bank one is all over the place with LTFT; 6.2 to 10.4 and sometimes it will go to 12.4! I’m using a BlueDriver scanner. I know it ain’t the best out there but it did help with an improperly fastened air filter assembly that gave the engine a MASSIVE vacuum leak. Bank two is a happy camper; -1.6 to 0.0. I checked for vacuum leaks on that side and I don’t see any. I’m a bit frustrated at bank one….could it be one or more injectors are just worn at 230,000 plus miles? I’m using Shell and Chevron hoping it will clean the injectors and that’s that, but if not, then I’m going to have my truck hooked to a Ford Fortran scanner to see what is going on. I’m thinking about trying the ATS 505 CRF, or just run some BG 44K through my engine, but if that doesn’t work, I need to have my engine diagnosed PROPERLY to see what is going on. I really wish I could bring my truck to you, but it not possible right now. Thank you for all you do. Stay Blessed!
I think I have a clue to what is happening to bank one. The PCV is different than my 99 truck. This thing is LIQUID COOLED! It looks like something out or a Stat Wars movie; it has arms that attach to hoses. I replaced it when I first purchased the truck; and I did break the head off of on of the two EXTREMELY WEAK self tapping screws. It was secure, so I didn’t think I needed to back the screw out of the assembly. Bank one is the side this thing is attached to. So I will start there.
@@FordBossMe damn,,the old 350 ran maybe 30psi at temp and about 2k rpms ,the plastic line doesn't seem to mind the constant 60psi,,,but I still worry about it the older it gets.
ok, i watched the whole video and have read YOUR comments. my question, why an aftermarket filter kit for Ford/Mercury products with a Chevrolet (GM) oil filter "base"? you said 13/16x16 threads and by the detailed oil filter list, GM filter base. this kit you installed looks good design even if you had to get some parts. you ARE right, even in southside Virginia i have to order the wix 51061 or 51060/napa 1060 because not always stocked. in the past, Perma-cool and other companies (i'm not sure about Amsoil filter kits) used a Ford style base FL1A filter for the add on transmission filter or remote oil filter kits.
And I have answered all of your questions on this already and you literally asked some of the same questions over again that I already answered The O-ring for the oil filter needs to be as wide as the base in order for it to seal correctly Ford doesn't have one that's this wide of a base
Also I have already explained why the aftermarket filter kit if you said you read the comments then you did not actually do what you said you did because that has been addressed so I'm not going to put any more time into your comment because it's only going to frustrate me because you're trying to I'm not sure if you're trying to get under my skin or if you're just frustrated trying to understand but I'm not going to dump time into something that somebody says they already did the research on and you didn't
