@@m2d5 having gone to a musics gymnasium and therefore spent quite a bit of time with fellow musicians who all play a wide variety of instruments I would rather say that yes, most musicians can sing *in tune*, but far from all musicians can actually sing well. In my opinion they gave quite an impressive performance! :D
It was so nice of these musicians to adopt two trombone players. If every musician would take pitty on just one tromboner, we could get these poor unfortunate things off the street
I don't know the specific name for it, but the lead singer's trumpet sounds like something you'd hear in an old western movie when they're in Mexico - when the big boss enters the room. Also, can we give massive respect to the tuba player? He's lugging around a big heavy instrument while dancing/kicking and he's STILL able to keep his wind and play. That's skill!
These guys are absolutely INCREDIBLE. They remind me of 'The Brass Band'...if you've never heard "Rocky Meets Bullwinkle", you need to. Once you hear that (which you'll NEVER get out of your head), you'll instantly see how this 7-man group is very reminiscent of the other 4-man group. 🤙🏼
Never seen a group made entirely of top level Bards. Not just musically expressive, nuanced and flawlessly executed. But also being funny! Highlighting the best moments of the song. ❤
Yeah; they're a bit more than that! Thomas Gansch is probably the best trumpeter in the world right now, and even the least of them has held seats in the finest orchestras in the world....
In my opinion Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever written and as a brass player for over 15 years this couldn’t have been better suited to my taste. I think this is second only to the original Queen version. Many have tried and failed to perform this song but these guys smashed it. I am so glad I came across this video.
I commend the sound tech operators on making the voices and the instruments balanced. Either that or these guys are just REALLY good at playing quite. But after some years of hearing the brass section be asked to be quieter, I'm not sure that level of proficiency is possible.
Allmost 50 years old song, and still getting so good covers from it. Its already a classic, with some real classical , as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and many others. Thank you.🥰
I heard that Freddie Mercury once said he didn’t care who or how the song was done as long as it wasn’t an embarrassment, think he would have approved of this rendition.
I've heard renditions that were really bad...and ones that were really good. The thing that was common in all was the fact that they all tried with their entire heard/soul/body. This is so far RIGHT of the really good ones, that even at a length of Infinity to the positive, that's not far enough right. To say it's the best isn't that far off, as I've never had one that made me laugh so hard I cried, but then it turned from a happy cry to one saddened - the song ended. Thoroughly loved it guys!
That first “mama” chorus struck my rib cage. Excellent work, definitely unique and a welcome departure from the cliche covers we’ve grown accustomed too! Bravo 👏
I feel this is an excellent rendition of this classic piece, I dont agree with them doing several passages acappella. Queen was very sparing with acappella and these guys used it too much, to me. there are enough voices and instruments to use either/ both the whole way through. Still good, just not THERE.
