Oprah is too ignorant and frightened. She is still suffering from deep deep trauma - and because of her success - she is too proud to look at herself. I sat and watched the entire interview and was very impressed with both Shannon and Monique. These two adults tackled the topics most have been waiting answers for. Great respect for both.

But it's also wise to allow these individuals she's talkinh to come on his and feel comfortable enough to come on his show and tell their side. This is chess, not checkers. Also, did you see Monique get on live and apologize to DL for not being completely truthful about the so called "cease and desist"? That's why Shannon was wise to STFU.

Monique’s husband seems to love and respect her more than DL does his wife since he had an outside baby on her but he’s always trying to shade Monique for having a strong black man behind her that supports her, protects her and speaks up for her

Truth because Shannon's statement proves that he doesn't know the full story and Monique's advice to ASK Oprah is disingenuous. Monique said a while back that she gave Oprah the blessing to interview her molester aka brother. She knew that her trauma would be discussed. She didn't know that her parents would accompany her brother and she felt that Oprah should have informed her that her parents would be on the show too. So Shannon is assuming that Oprah brought Monique's parents on the show to talk about something she didn't want to revisit. That isn't true. She was fine with Oprah questioning the perpetrator. In fact when Oprah interviewed Monique and asked her where she drew inspiration for her role in Precious she said she went into the trauma brought about by her brother molesting her. She brought it up. She Was aware and ok with Oprah interviewing her brother. She could have said that part. Oprah needs to repost this interview online.

Shannon does not have the truth and Monique is not being completely honest. Monique herself said that she knew that her brother would be on the show and gave Oprah her blessing. She didnt know that her parents would be on the show. She was mad at Oprah for inviting her parents too without telling her about it. I remember that shiw vividly. She has never mentioned having a problem with her brother (who molested her) appearing on the Oprah show. So she knew that the brother would talk about molesting her and she was fine with it. She could have made that point clear but she wants Shannon to confront Oprah.
