Once again an impressive performance by Sir Mo, whose main opponent now is surely time itself. The media should stop badgering him about when he's going to retire. I'd love to see him go on indefinitely like the legendary Steve Moneghetti, who's still going strong. Oh, yes, and there are some British and European Masters records up for grabs next year.

@Gws525
@Gws525 Год назад
@@natesilvers2166 yeh obviously. Completely not the point. There are plenty of people similar weight who arent 5 foot tall. Regardless of the engine, it's still considerably harder for her to keep up at that level. Speaking as a runner who is 97kg, I am well aware of the impact weight has on running.
@natesilvers2166
@natesilvers2166 Год назад
@@Gws525 longer legs do not make it easier to run long distance it makes it harder speaking as a 6'4" runner that's why you don't see tall guys winning marathons

@Nate Silvers obvious having a tiny step makes it harder. As does Being 6'4, heavy, and gangly with a bollix awkward stride. Outliers on both sides.
@natesilvers2166
@natesilvers2166 Год назад
Being tall doesn't mean awkward stride I always get compliments on mine (I started out as a barefoot road runner). Also being short doesnt mean tiny stride Kenesia Bekele has longest distance runner stride and hes very short. It is the difference of weight which makes it harder. Two runners both with en elite BMI of 19 short guy will be 120lb tall guy 155lb that's a lot of extra weight to haul imagine strapping 35lb to the short guys back he's gonna be way slower. You will never see a tall guy win an elite marathon it's the short guys who weigh nothing

this Mo is very strong! this is where we see the great champions! in the end: he gives the impression of warming up with the 4 guys and then towards the end, for 800 meters he accelerates to make the hole, then he stays between his 1st breath and 2nd breath, before accelerating again ! but everything is well dosed perfectly, that said good resistance from Rowe and Smith.
