Mo’Nique captured and embodied the TRUTH in her role in “Precious”. I get chills every time I watch it because of how REAL it is. And like all of the greatest acting performances in movie history, there WAS NO “acting” in her performance. Instead, Mo’nique morphed into an entirely different human personality and character so foreign to who Mo’Nique is, to the point where the viewer forgets that THAT is even Mo’Nique! Just brilliant😊💙.
She looks amazing! Skin on point. Make-up on point. Shape on point. Dress is Bad. Legs is banging. Shoes is right. Hair is whipped. She was giving you that tip and strut too at 1:12 - 1:24. LOL! So feminine. Go on 'head on, girl! She KNEW she was looking good! LOL! Killin' 'em!
anita phillip Moe stated some tine sho, she doesn't believe in God. My question is, what god is she giving thanks to? I'm pretty sure it's the same LITTLE "g" god they all bow to! I will look fir the clip where she states her beliefs on God!
i think she was more at home in voicing her real speech than her win in the Oscars. Probably because of the people she's with. But either way, she's deserving of this acclaim award!!
Mo’nique is so beautiful. Have always admired how she lights up the room, commanding so much positive attention. You can see the admiration throughout the audience and it is great to see her be so respected amongst her peers.
I love the way she acknowledged God first. She deserved the award for doing an outstanding job. Monique have always been a beautiful lady with such a sweet kindhearted spirit.
Just to be honest, Monique was pleased with this award (no doubt in my mind)...and then I viewed the Golden Globe....she was so much more emotional for that particular award. I can't say as an absolute that the GG meant more to her, but it appears that it did. With that said, since the Netflix ordeal, the circumstances were very disheartening for her. I think she has learned some things along the away, and with that lesson she probably has a change of heart. She probably realizes that the Image Award really should have brought her more fulfillment and appreciation than the other. Monique is very smart and intelligent enough to know that you can't let a life lesson escape you, so kudos to Monique for learning the lessons.
Monique played the hell out of Mary Jennifer did not want to play Precious she had other plans lost the weight and did other movies now her own talk show Aretha
I thought this was the drunk awards, you know the ones when they sit around tables with a lot of good champagne & liquors, and get wasted why they're getting their award 🤷
Monique praise her husband too much it seems like she's so into him she's losing herself and people along the way what is a person to gain everything and lose their soul
we adults we know what cuss words are and if they offend u that bad close ya ears. Beside monique knows how to act she only go that hard on her comedy tours. So chill its plenty of times she haven't used not 1 cuss word at other places but on stage she do her thang. Cuss and all #REALFAN
She was SO good. BUT, that pissy little childish stunt she pulled afterwards was the absolute WORST career move ever. She was paid little for the role in Precious, refused to do press tours and ultimately destroyed her career. Although, it seems fair that she should have made more, the fact is... she signed for what she got. If she had just let this award be a proud moment for an AMAZING project would have made her career SOAR. But no, she had to listen to a greedy man instead of taking pride in her excellent work. Now, she won't have another shot. Sadly.
