Wow..monique been telling women to stand up and tell and talk about the abuse..but nobody said anything. Until now. Mrs. Monique is a legend and deserves fo be treated like one.
She really had to go to some serious ugly places in this role. She deserved this. My jaw dropped more than once seeing her portray such an evil, sad woman. Hell yeah, girl! You earned that! Hands down.
I don’t care how anybody tried to trash Monique she is one the most humble ppl out there. She’s honest and firm but not disrespectful. The way she praised Lee Daniels even with all that drama going on is so commendable
How many Black women do you really know? The acting by the entire cast was superb and the direction and the writing was something far beyond 'AMAZING'. Most of the greatness started with the book (PUSH). The amazing performance by Mo'., who was a sitcom comedic actress/comedian, who took on such a big role and nailed it like never before. This film might have had Black stars but it was such a universal story, that needed to be told in this country (US) and other countries about abuse.
@@princesspai1975 No, I didn't imply anything regarding her skin colour. The very fact you presumed I'm white is racist in itself, and you probably don't even see what a racist you are.
I like the sarcastic or even mean sense of humor, and of course they can take it, but when you do a 3 hours long show, you really should come up with other things and themes as well, not just the one and only 'I don't give a shit about you' fake jokes.
The Blind Side is horrible. The performances is unconvincing (mainly Sandra Bullock). And the movie is desperate to make people cry. I hate the Oscar in 2009 for giving the award to Sandra Bullock.
That's only on the youtube videos, the ceremony is live and you had to see her walking there during the broadcast. However, for whatever reason the youtube videos edit that out. For the Oscar videos they edit out the performance clips that are shown in the live ceremony.
From the Golden Globes to the Oscars this is where her nightmare began... she refused to thank her director Lee Daniels and others (Oprah, Tyler Perry, etc)
Hello!!! theblind side was not crapp!!! Its based on a true story hosss! WOuld u like it if someone called ur life crap!! :P btw i agree to a point Precious was a great film but The Blind Side was good too
I think she deserved the award but I didn't like that she dedicated it to the all the Marys in the world, maybe she was just in the moment but it seems weird to dedicate your award to a horribly abusive mother.
sedallison her acting for the movie was the best acting I’ve ever fucking seen in my entire life. The final scene “who will love me” hit hard and deep.
@yellowrose32 Mo'Nique was incredible in Precious and deserved the Oscar, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the film. In my opinion, the best won that year: The Hurt Locker.
congrats for winning an award for playing a typical black woman, sure bet acting was hard for her in this movie. im sure the director just said "just be yourself"
