Roseanne just said something stupid she didn't call VG no ni##er , Paula Dean had a slip up, So did Martha Stewart, let's don't be so easily butt hurt.
Way to go Monique!!! Roseanne deserves more people/friends to use their public forums to testify on who she really is and positive experiences they’ve had with her. Thank you
Monique has brains, class, courage, and talent. Her performance in PRECIOUS was extraordinary and hearing her have a very sophisticated and balanced approach to the Roseanne controversy is a breath of fresh air and wisdom amid a circus of lunatics throwing stones when they all live in glass mansions.
I totally agree with Monique. She’s right.... many people talk about loving each other yet they fail the test when it’s time to showcase it. Think about it.... our Instagram and Facebook feed is bombarded with inspirational quotes on love, forgiveness, being a better person... etc...... yet we can’t forgive Roseanne. Makes you wonder is it all for likes or 👍🏾🤔

Mom The Ebayer How many times would you say is an appropriate number to "forgive" Roseanne who can't seem to control herself from calling black women apes? This was not the first time Roseanne has publicly made her feelings known around this topic...she has boldly demonstrated that she somehow has to showcase her delusions of superiority by using degrading, racially charged language to vent her displeasure with black women whom she disagrees with politically. Anyone can make a mistake and subsequently be forgiven for it. However, when an individual purposely and deliberately repeats the same action/infraction over and over as in the case of Roseanne. ..it ceases to be a mistake. What it shows is that Roseanne knew exactly what she was saying when she said it and she did it much like most cowardly racist....she spewed her hate-filled vitriol and later attempted to walk it back once it sparked outrage! Equating black women to monkeys which lends historical context to how we were looked upon as a people during slavery and the correlation to having non-human phyisical characteristics, is classic home grown racism in all of it's glory. This is not a question of Roseanne Barr making a 'mistake' as Mo'nique seems to think. "Sister in comedy or not"...words that are expressed with the deliberate intent to humiliate, belittle and dehumanize do not get forgiven or defended. We as black women need to stand up and champion ourselves for a change! Sorry Mo'nique but you are waaay off base Sis.
Since Monique loves people so much and believes in forgiveness why hasn't she forgiven Oprah, Tyler and Lee Daniels? Or is that love only reserved for white people?
I'm sick of tired hearing people saying that Roseanne didn't speak up for Monique during the time when Monique was being blackballed by Lee Daniels, Oprah , Tyler Perry and Netflix. But yet y'all didn't mention about black celebrities not speaking up or taking up for Monique. They didn't even try to help her with her career. Where was Denzel Washington during the time when Monique was being blackballed? How bout Tyler Perry, Spike Lee, Chris Rock the list goes on and on. And correct me if I'm wrong some of these black celebrities aren't taking up for Monique , because they think she's wrong. Like Whoopi Goldberg for example. Monique is a genuine person. Everyonr needed to learn to except it. Smh
Why should they stand up for her when she excuses racism from white folks? Roseanne didnt stand up for her but she sure as hell wants to throw these black celebs away who tried to reason with her. But yall wanna keep defending Monique.
Amen. People make mistakes and deserve second chances. It’s nice to hear Mo’Nique speak her truth. I have often felt that people in the industry have misunderstood her. I know that her heart has always been in the right place with regards to her intentions and it’s lovely to hear how Roseanne had her back when others didn’t. Now that is a true friend!👏🏽❤️
Woman did look exactly like the character from Planet of the Apes though and there wasn't anything racist about it, so where is the mistake? I saw the side by side recently and I laughed a lot. Doesn't that mean the joke landed? How is that a mistake?
Andy Vegan, some people are without understanding; especially, in the word forgiveness and while they live in MESS! You go it right.#leedanielasskissersRreal
Amen! God Bless you Mo'Nique! I agree with you ... Roseanne is a brilliant artist... she is never a racist! Finally someone spoke with compassion and understanding.
I've always loved Mo'nique. I gained a lot of respect for her when I watched her documentary on women in prison. Mo'nique humanized the incarcerated at the same time Oprah was exploiting their pain. Thanks Mo'nique for being such a beautiful person 💖☮️💜💛💚
marilyn jack you can literally watch what you want. I watch Anime and cooking shows. I don't go through Netflix looking for "left wing" entertainment lmao y'all are so fragile.
“Kindness” and “Compassion” are two tags that almost never accompany the name “Hollywood”. I admire you, Mo’nique, for your brave, sincere, heartfelt take on Roseanne’s mistake. I would love to see you two starring a Thelma&Louise - inspired movie sometime. It would be awesome!!! Be blessed always. 🤩💝
Roseanne stood up for Monique. She sat w Monique. Oprah ,Tyler, Lee.......... I'm glad Monique spoke the truth about Roseanne instead of doing the Cheryl Underwood and Steve Harvey's of the world.
KSR, true - but punishment shouldn’t be eternal. Roseanne didn’t kill anyone: she just ran her mouth too far. And as any regular folk, she deserves forgiveness after duly apologizing and reflecting on her mistake.
Because everybody makes mistakes. that’s why I guarantee Michelle you have said something pretty bad that you wish you could take back don’t act like you’re innocent
MOnique had her own late night talk show, give her some respect, she never gets mentioned on the Sherri show, the JHud show, put a little respect on Mo's name.
What she said was not a mistake. She made that choice, and she has a long history of saying racist and religiously offensive things. She needs to learn that the things that she says are morally wrong not just a bad “joke”, and then maybe she won’t be thrown out.
Thank you for having the courage to step away from the voice of judgement and to address 'human error' and what it is to forgive and refuse to align with any form of racism despite the injury. We cannot allow wounds to define truth, rather allow truth heal to wounds. Righteous!.
Great loyalty. We should remember that Roseanne put black characters on TV in her hit show in the 90's when the producers told her not to. She did the same with gay and lesbian characters. Despite opposition. She didn't have to. She's not a bigot.
watching this now with all the woke nonsense gone out of control, I appreciate Mo'Nique even more. That woman always was the real deal and a warrior for the truth!
Nice to see someone stand up for someone without regard for the monstrous masses that will rebuke them for it. She is a fine person and whoever thumbsdown this video is not. The truth!
Mo’nique is TRUE TO IT! Straight No Chaser a REAL G! I applaud you for your honesty and loyalty. I trust and believe her. Rosanne is just an imperfect human being as we all are Don’t we want forgiveness when we make a mistake? Salute to Mo’nique
So now Roseanne made a mistake? Come on Monique. She has made these mistakes over and over again. I don't recall her claiming that Oprah or the others made a mistake.
EMAN67 (Movies, politics, commentary) I'm sorry but I'm not falling for Monique's BS. First the Netflix mess and now this. Wanting to be paid 20 million like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle. They have sold out stadiums and she sells out clubs in select cities. Seemed pretty clear to me why they made her that low offer. Low draw means low offer.
That's a real strong character to stand and speak out and to be so humble and yes we all have made mistake....point the finger at yourself and judge yourself no one is perfect but God
I so appreciate your sincere Lovely heart ♥️!!! I know you are REAL... you are the BEST.. I recall when you did a show for the Lady’s Prison and it was so amazing to me that you blessed people who needed the medicine of laughter!!! 🤘🏽💓🙏🏽🤔🔑🙇🏻♀️
Looking beautiful Monique. Inspired me to work harder to give up my sugar, so I can look as good as you. I love your attitude and your boldness! Always be you!
Respect! I keep in mind those who speak up for right. Monique has my continued respect. This is just. I wish ppl would just look at the FACTS for once of what the book/movie actually means. Roseanne Barr didn’t call Valerie Jarrett an ape. It was part of the book/movie title she used to express her feelings. It was a political tweet for goodness sake. She was speaking from her own place culturally and politically. She is jewish. We’ve got to get past this childishness and think. Agree with someone politically or not, but at least hear them out.
I love Monique and I appreciate her speaking up and out. I can image how black Hollywood is behind the scenes I have experienced some craziness myself in corporate America and as little bitty old extra in Hollywood. I support you her
I've always just laughed at monique, I've never really looked at her. Monique is a beautiful woman. Beauty inside and out, that's the best of both worlds.
😍 loved this!just started finding out about all these amazing unbelievable righteous beautiful women like roseanne and mo'nique today, i m in deep awe😍
It wasn't Roseannes only racist tweet. So how many times can you say your sorry for being racist until you actually are a racist. Plus this is an other celeb who only thinks about how SHE was treated. All about ME.
This is really beautifully said. It seems like we're in such a hypocritical day and age in "social media". Such BD. Roseanne apologized IMMEDIATELY. I miss her on TV. Love to Monique, Roseanne, and ALL strong women. 💗
Tyler Perry called this woman and offered to get whatever money she was owed and she and her husband recorded him and were too proud to really hear him out. Now she wants us to forgive Roseanne when she couldn't and hasn't forgiven any of these people who wronged her. This is pathetic. All this sermonizing and still broke. They're black balling you now bc you are difficult to even speak with yet alone work with. This press tour she's been giving is one of the most destructive attempts I've seen to destroy one's own career. I honestly don't even know what her endgame is. I don't think she knows. She just talks in hateful circles. What a waste of tine and talent.
C Walters equal pay for black women and men who accomplish the same (aka Oscar winner) things in Hollywood as their white countparts. It's not hard, you, just like most of Americans, allow the media and the perceived public opinion to guide your thoughts and actions instead of critically thinking for yourself.
Well, Tyler Oprah and Lee don't own her any money, true, but she did not own them any promotion for Precious overseas, she did it domestically and that was it, no further obligations contractually. She did was she was contractually required to. Now when the movie started to get hyped, they wanted her to promote it overseas for free, while they were getting additional cash. This is where she required additional money, which is fair and comprehensible. Do you think Amy Schumer is promoting her movies for free? Or better, do you think they would even dare to ask a white actress to do it?
How do you figure she broke? Pretty sure she has more money then all of us on this post... Shes far from broke but just as far from oozing in money. You cant forgive someone who is actively hurting you and created a decade long problem for you privately but then speaks highly when asked if they did those things... Whats donr in the dark will come to light
