You should also react to Voiceplay’s “Just Sing”. Has a TON of guest appearances (it’s for charity), and there’s a special appearance by Tim Foust from Home Free (they’re good friends). Bass battle between Geoff and Tim.
There’s a version of the video which has captions showing who all the artists are as they’re singing. Try to look for that one as there are some funny comments too.
Without a doubt, the showcase of Geoff’s 6 octave range is Oogie Boogie Song. He does a full 5 1/2 octaves in that song. If you can handle Halloween music, that is. Lol. It’s from Nightmare Before Christmas.
@@mohammeddukuly5325 I assume you mean the one in the riff he does while layne is talking, and Geoff said that its been artificially moved an octave down for the effect
@@aidanmccormack114 Sometimes they do when a strong bass is needed, but sometimes they use the other guys for it whrmen Geoff is on lead. Especially when they're singing live. But these three demonstrated their bass range in some videos
Love your Voiceplay reactions, so much fun to watch and you really pay great attention to detail! And what you said at the beginning, that their trying a more theatrical direction is so true, makes me happy that you actually realized and appreciate that, caise that's what they wanna achive! They also have a video of one of their more like stand-up comedy numbers, it's called "Road Trip" maybe check that out! Also all of their ACA Top 10 (disney and others) mash-up videos are absolutely crazy good and fun!
Their Moana Melody is my favorite of Voiceplay! If you like Rachel Potter, you should definitely check out an older song she did with Voiceplay "Phantom of the Opera". She's amazing that one! I say older because there's an old cast member who used to be a part of Voiceplay on there.
I thought I had seen this one, but I hadn’t. I’m glad I saw it with your reaction! Love Voice Play, and Rachel has a beautiful voice! Yes, they are more theatrical, but I love that! It gives them an identity separate from other A Cappella groups! They do all have different styles, though! This one was fun to watch! I never knew Eli could sing bass prior to this video! Wow! Moana was a really good movie, and I don’t care for all Disney movies anymore, but I have to admit I watched it because of Dwayne Johnson! Love the dude!! I love the island feel and the music was great! Anticipating your reaction to Voice Play’s “Just Sing”! It’s going to be epic!!
This video showcases exactly why I hope for Rachel to be the new member since Earl left 🥰🎵🎶🎵🎶. And Eli’s name is pronounced like the girl’s name Ellie (if it helps his full name is Eliezer). For more VoicePlay ft Rachel Potter, check out Phantom Of The Opera. You will see a guy called Tony, he left in about 2016 I think? It was quite a while before they decided on J None, the African American baritone. So that’s my suggestion! Edit: wait, did I already request that one? I have a feeling I might have done 🤔🤔
Voiceplay is awesome! I have a RU-vid playlist of nothing but Voiceplay that I listen to all the time. They have so many great songs to choose from! Can't wait to see more Voiceplay reactions. Btw, Eli's name is pronounced like jelly without the "j". :)
Late once again, but I'm here... and I loved this!!! Moana is my favorite Disney movie from the last few years (not including the classics, obviously), so I really enjoyed this medley. These guys are super talented. Thanks for sharing your journey!! See you next time!
Great reaction! I didn't know Rachel Potter, she is amazing, her voice is so "clear"?( i don't know if it's the right word, sorry i'm french :)). Thank you for that!
This video was done during a period when they were auditioning for a new baritone, but Rachel has done several with the full group. They've recently lost their high tenor, Earl, but I haven't heard if they're auditioning yet.
Another great medley is The Little Mermaid which also stars Rachel Potter. Being this is studio produced the bass could have been double tracked and the bass line could have been added after the fact.
If you liked this one, YOu should Check out Grinning Ghosts. That's going to sound more old school Barber Shop Quartet. Really shows there vitality, plus it is a short one.
After you played your Spotify "liked" songs, I needed to check out your Voice Play reactions. This video was so fun. Dropping a video here just for you to see. Thought you would enjoy seeing Lin-Manuel doing the rap (he wrote it) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0DLzyvT4eUo.html
This video (The one you're reacting to, not your video specifically) messed me up because I thought his name was Eli (Ee-lye), when in reality it's Eli (Eh-lee)
I get what you are saying about female singers. To me there isn’t that variation in their voices that men have. I do like Sarah McLachian! She has a unique sound. BTW, check out Home Free’s Story of My Life for some more of Tim’s ( and the rest of the guy’s) awesomeness. 💕
This is why I think they are almost better off with a female member. I think Rachel is the woman they have worked with the most. They know her from working with her at Universal Themepark in Orlando.
