You can always measure the age of a voiceplay video by length of Geoff's hair.

Great reaction!! When you see Geoff with really short hair... I expect to laugh out loud. Earl, the tenor, did have a beard later on. He left for undisclosed personal reasons in 2020. To see how their production values have changed and improved in the same genre, catch their Little Mermaid Medley. Rachel is in it, Earl is gone, and J None was in. Trust me, kids will love it, you will love it, and you will laugh so, so hard!

Rachael sings with Voiceplay on several songs... This one is excellent, as is their medley from Little Mermaid, which is kinda similar. She was also in their Wicked medley, which as always been a favorite of mine, and more recently in Greatest Showman. She excels in all of them.

Layne started out as the baritone, but took over percussion when Scott Porter left. He has a beautiful, sweet baritone that we love to hear. But he actually has a five octave range ( like Geoff, but a little higher.) He has been singing more in videos lately (possibly because we keep asking for more). In their We Don’t Talk About Bruno video, which Layne arranged and directed, Layne sings one verse. Then sings bass for another while Geoff is otherwise occupied. I hope you react to that one; I think you’d really like it. (I like it better than the one from the movie since - unlike the movie - you can actually understand all the words.)

You may be interested in checking out their cover of “True Colors”…it’s another older one and it’s kinda unique for VoicePlay. Because Layne not only sings, but he’s also very “forward” in the mix. It shows off his singing voice nicely.

No one else has mentioned them, but two more that are also really good are not actually on VoicePlay's channel. First - "Cruella deVil" which they did FOR Disney. It's great fun. It's on Disney's RU-vid channel, but easiest found by a Google search. And VP's Medley for "Disney on Broadway". Arabian Nights in that one is especially exceptional. I'd suggest watching them even if you don't react to them. They are less known VP videos. I presume because they live on Disney's (and Disney on Broadway's) channel. They both have Earl in them too. But also Tony Wakim, who left singing with them before Earl did. However, he still works with them sometimes behind the camera as co-owner with Layne of PattyCake Productions.

I don't know much about Rachel's solo work but she has done a decent amount of songs with Voiceplay so I highly suggest checking those out. I remember you mentioning on your Superfruit Wizard & I reactopm that you liked Wicked.. Voiceplay has a Wicked medley that features Rachel and it is stunning. Highly recommend that next for Voiceplay

THIS is why I love it when reactors take a look for themselves to see what might interest them on the channel!! Thank you! I wouldn't probably have recommended Disney selections... but they (like everything VP touches) are really wonderful. Based in Orlando, all of them worked for Disney or Universal at some point. Disney liked their take on We Don't Talk About Bruno so much that they brought them in as entertainment for one of their meetings. You should check out both Little Mermaid and We Don't Talk about Bruno - both are hilarious. As a general rule, Layne is generally the arranger behind the Disney selections. And if the humor is really off the wall and antic - it's definitely Layne's.

The "Know Who You Are" song and scene is my favorite too. I love the emotional climax of this action/comedy is a quiet moment of revelation.

I won't spoiler anything, but pay attention at what Geoff does there 😁, But not only... Well, you'll have to watch it 😁😅 Staying in the Disney vibe, I'd also recommend "We don't talk about Bruno" from the movie Encanto. After they released it, Disney Corp. hired them to perform it at a private Corp event... Yes, it is THAT good. 😁. And I'd like to suggest another, albeit totally different, "song": "In the hall of the Mountain King", from Grieg's "Peer Gynt". It's an orchestral piece, instrumental, so no lyrics at all, but the storytelling is ridiculously good. 😅❤ See you next time! 🙂

A couple more Disney videos from VoicePlay are The Little Mermaid medley (wait until you see Geoff's makeup!) with Rachel Potter again, and We Don't Talk About Bruno with Ashley Diane, who has another great Disney princess voice. But Geoff kind of steals the show in that one, if you're at all familiar with the movie! Speaking of Disney princesses - Kirstie Maldonado from Pentatonix has collaborated with Voctave (another a cappella group) with the Disney Love medley, and there's a Superfruit episode (Mitch and Scott) of a Frozen medley featuring Kirstie - but make sure you stay after the "Subscribe" message for the bloopers on that one!

The Disney medleys by Voctave are excellent. Their Princess Medley is perfection.

Disney should just have voiceplay do the ending credits song on all their movies

I think that I subscribed on the first video of yours that I saw, which I believe was Valhalla Calling because you deserved (and still deserve) it. I really enjoy your vibe as a reactor, enthusiastic, and you clearly enjoy the videos, but you do so without being... uncomfortably over the top in your enjoyment of it. I've seen reactions where the person was just doing the most uncomfortable spazzing out over what they were watching, and... I cringed so hard. But you are very direct in what you enjoy, and you're able to express what you enjoy about it very well. Anyway, yeah. It is... mind-boggling to look at this and Valhalla Calling and compare the group then and now... it's honestly kind of disorienting. I'm so glad they've delved so much more into the theatrics of their craft. They may not have won with stage competitions, but when it comes to the actual content they produce, I consider them to be unrivaled.

This movie had amazing songs in it and Voiceplay did just an amazing job with the songs as always

YES! They have a ton more of GREAT Disney movies. But for some reason I think you might also like their rendition of "Sh-Boom" as I do. 60s DooWap stuff.

Since you like Disney movies, I wholeheartedly recommend their Little Mermaid Medley (with Rachel) and We Don't Talk About Bruno (with Ashley Diane), plus going a little further away from standard Disney there's the must-see Oogie Boogie's Song.

Check out Little Mermaid which also stars Rachel, as well as in Wicked and also Phantom of the Opera and Greatest Showman. Ashley Diane first showed up in If I Were a Rich Man/Girl, followed by We Don't Talk About Bruno, and Running Up That Hill (from Stranger Things).

I love the music from this so much that I bought the soundtrack separate from the movie and my grandkids and I listened to it over and over all the way from Illinois to Colorado on our vacation a few years ago! And I certainly wasn’t mad about it! 😂

They do have more Disney stuff!! "We Don't Talk About Bruno," from Encanto, "The Little Mermaid Medley," "Frozen Medley," and "Go The Distance" from Hercules just off the top of my head. I don't even have kids but I still love Disney movies. Well, the cartoon ones anyway. Disney seems insistent on ruining my childhood with live action remakes, lol. That live action Lion King made me depressed. 😂😂 Little Mermaid was never my favorite, (I was a little older by then) but the medley VoicePlay did for it was amazing!

If you love Disney, you can't miss their cover of We Don't Talk About Bruno, featuring Ashley Diane. It's glorious. Also worth a watch, Friends on the Other Side. You will see many recommendations for their Little Mermaid medley, and it's certainly a fine performance and a well put together video! But unless I'm in a very particular mood, I find it just a little bit too over-the-top for my tastes. YMMV.

VP do quite a lot of Disney as they or some of them have worked for Disney in theme parks etc, so they are very familiar with this style. However they still manage to make the songs their own. The LIttle Mermaid, We Don't Talk About Bruno, are some notable ones but there are others.

It's a very old video, before Geoff grew out his hair and while Earl was the top voice.

Earl one the other members who left also the had a guy named Tony who own Patty Cakes Production with Layne.

They have a ton of Disney stuff. I think a couple of them actually worked for Disney once. Pretty sure Geoff did, at least. Their Little Mermaid medley is amazing, one of my favorites. Plus they have several songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas (one even feature Rachel Potter again) and all of them are great! Oogie Boogie is my favorite in the list, but all four are worth listening to even if you don't make a video on all of 'em.

Who tou are is also my favourit. When I got the vinyl for Christmas I've cried like a Child. And I was 45 at the time.
