These shows were at the forefront of animation, I'll die on this hill.

This was the gateway series for a lot of my friends at the time, and where I got into Gunpla since Wing kits were becoming more available in the US.

Wing has many flaws that I could literally spend hours describing. But despite that it's still my favorite, and not just for nostalgia. First saw it when I could catch in on Toonami back in the day.

G Gundam and Gundam Wing definitely. I also found Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny On Demand. Only just starting getting back into it after I saw the Gundam Origins series 🙏🏿

Man Gundam Wing.... good times, especially when we had them fight against each other during grade school days! Also cant wait for the new HGAC Shenlong to finally complete Operation Meteor!

I remember Gundam Wing when it first aired here in the Philippines. Absolutely loved the show. The music was wonderful. The Tagalog dub was really good. My only complaint was the changing of the character names and the Gundams. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot.

gundam wing is still to this day my absolute #1 favorite of all the gundam series. when bandai made the action figures or the mobile suits, my folks got them all for me. my dad was even making fun of my love for the show at one point except he was trying to go super saiyan and i just didn't have the heart to tell him that it was the wrong thing he was making fun of me about. lol.

Hey there's me. Anyway, this was the second Gundam season I saw and unfortunately I didn't see another season for a while until Gundam Seed and 00 like years later.

I was in love with the mobile suit design as a kid. Its still in my top 3 gundam series.

Never seen a Gundam movie except for the ones you live streamed, I only heard of this one because your reviewing it. Keep up the good work, even though I have no idea what most of the stuff you talk about is, either way keep up the great quality content, I'm sure people who like this stuff will highly appreciate it.

Gundam wing to this day is my all time favorite with wing zero being my all time favorite Gundam

Series so underrated, still waiting for a MG Wing Zero TV version.

Ah yes Gundam Wing is my first Mobile Suit Gundam series that started it all for the franchise in the west love the show and is one of my favorites, objectively tho, its not the best series but it's not the worst neither in comparison to the other gundam franchise, on a side note, I agree Miss Lucrezia Noin is best girl and the most underrated in the Gundam franchise

This series was great. My one big gripe with it.... Wu Fei (I hope I'm spelling that right). And you summed it up with that one clip of him. I think Bennett The Sage of Anime Abandon said it best. The Gundam pilots of this series are pretty boys with problems. They're basically a boy band. Hiro's the cool one. Duo's the fun one. Trowa's the one with the cool hair. Quatra's the cute and sensitive one. And Wu Fei's the annoying one nobody gives a crap about. That said, I really liked a lot of the supporting characters in this series. Noin, Sally, Lady Un, Trowa's hot sister Catherine, all great characters!

Lengthy comment Incoming. So Yeah! Gundam Wing. A Great show that wasn’t flawless, but it was a show that sold me on Gundams! I always liked the Design of the Gundams, but I never knew what they were at the time, my dad use to by me plenty of the Hobby Japan books when I was young, Gamera and Gundams being just so Amazing! When I finally got to watch the TV series on Toonami, holy shit was my mind Blown! While the characters were sort of bland and took some getting use to, the actions of the Gundams were what drew me in, tall, menacing, armed with weaponry and an Alloy that made them damn near impossible to destroy! About for the first half, Midnight run for this show really spiced it up, showing all the uncut violence and blood, the swearing, Damn, Hell, Ass! It was stuff like this that told you that this was war, and as episodes went on, it was telling. Theme of War, the evolution of the War Machine and the political Division between Earth and the colonies showed how petty both sides were. With the 5 scientists being the true smart men in the room, while also being held responsible and Victim to the Tyrants that only want Control! And then, perhaps the biggest surprise to me was learning that Heero was an Orphan, a child of war trained to kill, forced to be a tool of war and named after an Assassinated Ambassador! And this is made even more tragic in the Endless Waltz movie. This show was the best sort of Animated Content to dub and introduce to us kids, giving us Deeper commentary on the nature of warfare, how the innocent and the political system are used as pawns by the wealthy and influential, how the only way to change is for both sides to destroy the very weapons they make, to sit down and agree to a peaceful conversation. A super weapon will never be the solution to our problems, it’ll only bring further regardless if it is fired or not.

Gundam wing is the bar by which we measure gundam here. Music, design. Even animation. If it can't at least match it. Pass. And more me it is a classic.

Pretty good is an understatement. The animation in the beginning of the series is a bit aged but the story will never get old.

Not airing Gundam X after Wing on Toonami was perhaps the biggest mistake by Bandai, as airing 0079 afterwards killed all future potential of this franchise having a marketing footprint in the West.

Sorry for the lateness, but here's my two cents on rather the most famous gundam series in the west, After Colony Gundam Wing. This is a good entry point to the world of gundam (made especially thanks to toonami) while it's a good series, it's not without it's faults, mostly on story and characters. The beginning of the story is a good start, the middle of the story does come to a screeching halt and does slowed down that dragged for a while but thankfully picked up towards the end. The characters can be hit and miss as they come from angsty, likeable, or downright annoying. The animation is good for the time and the mobile suits are very well done, (though one in particular i wish got more screentime as it do like it). while it does have it's flaws, this is a good series that most people can fondly remember thanks to toonami and has been a popular series to this day.

The story is confused with several secret organizers stacked on top of eachother that adds nothing, the special forces, oz ,and romerfeller might as well just be on thing because almost nothing changes from this three layered reveal. Absolute peace is crazy especially when oz starts listening to relena for no real reason and 180s their entire organization

I'm watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes at the moment - Wing is definitely the one Gundam entry that overtly incorporates elements from that series, whether it be the 18th Century style clothing and interiors of the antagonist faction, the attractive male characters, or the introspective political musings. Wing never really sat well with me after being exposed to the Universal Century stories, and after finding out just how derivative it is, I hold it in even less esteem, but I can still credit it as a gateway to Gundam franchise as well as Mecha and sci-fi anime in general.

Howard. Howard is the biggest ass pull in gundam history. Not only does zechs happen to run into him to fix the tall geese in the middle of no where he also just happens to have peacemillion out of nowhere just for plot

Wing sits right in the bottom of my Gundam tier list. It was incredibly boring, pretentious and annoying.

This video is weird. While wing has good designs it's action is sub par as a whole, it's characters are bland outside of duo with heero and trowa being almost the exact same, wufei exist, and there's almost no tension as the gundams are never vulnerable except when the plot removes their plot armor

It was a decent show but it's hardly the masterpiece most claim it to be. When the show kept insisting Total Pacifism was the best thing ever I kinda lost any real interest.

Wing my least favorite of the 90s gundam series

Sadly, I think this series is overrated.
