MOCHA ALMOND CAKE
(COCOA & COFFEE CAKE)
Ingredients :
Maida 130 gm
Castor / powder sugar 140 gm
Curd 200 gm
Oil 85 gm
Coffee powder 1 tbsp
Hot water 3 tbsp
Cocoa powder 20 gm
Milk 75 gm
Baking powder 2 TSP
Baking soda 1/2 TSP
Salt 1/4 tsp
Almonds 1/2 cup
Method :
In a bowl take curd and add baking soda. Mix it.(You can take half curd and half condensed milk)
Now add oil and mix.
In bowl mix coffee and hot water, add it to curd mixture. Beat well the mixture. Add castor sugar and mix.
Now sieve maida, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder and mix it to curd mixture. Beat well.
Mix chopped almonds in cake batter and pour it in greased and lined tin. Sprinkle chopped almonds on the cake batter.
Preheat the oven at 180°c and bake the cake for 35 to 40 min.
MOCHA SAUCE FOR GLAZING THE CAKE :
Milk 1/2 cup
Powder sugar 1/2 cup
Coffee Powder 1 tbsp
Cocoa powder 1/2 tbsp
Corn flour 1/2 tbsp
Butter 1 tbsp
Take milk in a pan . Warm it. Add cornflour and mix well. Add coffee powder, sugar. Mix well. Cook it. Now add cocoa powder and butter. Mix it. When mixture will become slightly thick. Close the gas.Sauce is ready.
Pour this mocha sauce on baked cake.
