Haha same before i clicked on it i was like what they saying about Michael Palin?? THEY BETTER NOT DIS HIM. And then it clocked. Can't have one of my favourite shows dissing one of my favourite people
Sqid - I am well aware that many people use "stupider" and frankly I don't care. I would insist on MY using more stupid. I never bother telling other people how to speak. Nor, would I ever call them stupid. I think that is rude, immature, and well, stupid.
Cearbhaill, you are entitled to your preference, but all the major dictionaries give "stupider" and it is very widely used by writers at all levels of sophistication (and usage does ultimately determine "correctness"). "Stupider" is even the older of the two alternatives, and even if it is a bit more clumsy (clumsier) we can't sensibly say it is wrong. People of all levels of ability will go on using "stupider" irrespective of what you or I say.
@drewsteriam5 Because the only time a different country briefly passes the self-obsessed eyes of america its when theyre invading a smaller country for natural resources.
*Mock the Week* (S6, Ep10; September 11, 2008) *_If This is the Answer, What is the Question?: 4%_* Presenter: Dara O'Briain Team 1: Andy Parsons (captain), Ed Byrne, Russell Howard. Team 2: Frankie Boyle, Hugh Dennis (captain), Stewart Francis
LOL. Yeah its RU-vid don't forget; everybody is all knowing keyboard Gods who of course are always correct about absolutely everything ever and they don't even need to use google...8) I wonder who is replacing Frankie too, they better be good.
@Thebooshboy1 It's a different country from the United States, yes. But there is no such country as America, America is huge landmass containing two continents and tons of different countries. The people of the United States have appropriated the term American to identify themselves nationally, but as a geographical descriptor it is perfectly valid to call a Canadian American. I'd imagine it will be a while before any non-U.S. citizen in America chooses to call themselves an American though.
Tell me about it, I never get told of usually because my grammer is good, but I see people getting told of all the time lol. Just learn't what douche means today as well, if someone called me that I'd just lol dude.
As if being self-absorbed was a bad thing AHAHAHAHHAHAHA oh you not getting the attention you want? We got too much entertainment over here to care about the rest of the world
@ morriswillis , no offence intended just an observation i quote Godwin's law: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."
Your name is Scotty, and according to your previous comment, you don't like Americans. Most people from the UK think Americans are fairly pretentious and self-absorbent, and since Scotty is fairly close to Scotland, I figured that's where you were from.
