No he's just more in depth, these are ''scenes we'd like to see'', not ''the most fucked up and retarded ways humanity and humans act''... That takes a hell of a lot more parsing out/through than is possible in 5 seconds.

Yes, but that's where some people know him from. He also had a considerable run, and I believe still appears on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as well.
Er... his career kind of does revolve around American television. His entire television career before The Daily Show consisted of seven Mock the Week episodes and a few standup specials.

Reminds me of a Bill Maher thing, where he says that Bush had horrible ideas, but he did at least have theballs to go through with them. He didn't look for a staged photo-op of him having a cheeseburger (like Obabma just did), he just picked up the phone in the Oval office and said, "Hey you! Get me a cheeseburger!" And they'd say. "Uh sir, this is NORAD. Use the other phone."
To be fair, actors are usually associated either with what they were first seen in by the speaker, or with something they starred in that the speaker truly enjoyed. As for Hugh Laurie, I associate him with two different roles: House, and George from black adder, even though he was obviously in earlier stuff. Although, again, to be fair, ilovetofly212 could have said "he starred in community!!"
