Nice explanation Prof. Dr. G.P. Raja. In my opinion, it should be k=\lambda h^3 for Case (ii). Then the result becomes consistent

Why do you use (1-2lambda) as your discriminant? Can the other coficients be negative? Why can't e(I,j) be negative?
