I actually found the game's entire soundtrack based off Classical music to be refreshing, the chaotic intense visuals go well with the music and it all gives me goosebumps.

Game Dave's Famicorner is the king of all video game shows, this one was awesome man! Looks like After Burner, I bet it's a prefect fit for the "Family King" flight stick.

We just gonna look over the fact that the "human" who freaks out over the Baal attack to begin with is very clearly a dog-person? Is it a Dragon Ball-like situation where half of earth's sapient populace is furries and it's just never brought into question?

The 3d effects in TetraStar reminds me of Cosmic Epsilon (also from Home Data), which I wanna see in a future episode of Famicorner, also the English translation for this game came out 19 years ago. I wanna see Dave review The Triathron next.

Man this game looks so good~ while watching your gameplay I was thinking exactly what you ended up talking about at 16:30 regarding the lack of original music. Those samples are quite cool though! Might be fun to track down some other OSTs created by the same staff! Hopefully there's some original music using those sorts of samples out there

I REALLY have to disagree with you about the music. I think that this was an epic creative choice and I think it really adds a lot to the game, to have familiar tunes that does a lot to invest you in a way that non-familiar music wouldn't. These are epic songs used brilliantly.

Very cool game, not sure I'd say it's the best on the Famicom though. I tend to go with Crisis Force for that title.

I finally found a game with dramatic scene in the NES. (But I still hate dramas in TV shows). Boy oh boy they hardwork for this game to have great story and cutscenes.

Yeeeeaaahhh i was going to say this is a cool Shtmup and dont get me wrong it is, but those music choices are quite "odd" I do like the last battle with that music because it kinda fits for some strange reason, so yeah its cool noneless, there is another strange Shtmup game that i played that is called "The Guardian Legend" and its very interesting because you have this Xevious/Gradius stages where you go shooting ships in space and then when you complete this you "transform" into a cybernetic armored girl warrior that goes defeating monsters in bases in Legend of Zelda style, in fact this game is a sequel from an MSX game called Guardic and this game also inspired a game for the GBA called Sigma Star Saga. Its kinda repetitive and quite frustrating at some points, its not an easy game and to make matters worse the password system is overly complicated, but aside from that its a rather cool looking and interesting game, why im talking about it in here? because like TetraStar this are pretty rare and unique twists in the Shtmup genre and if anybody got interested in play this and The Guardian Legend the better because this game shouldn't go under noticed because they are quite unique and inovative in their own ways.

Expensive now. Probably because of this video...

The guy in the white hood, green shirt, and pink skirt looks like he belongs in Rolling Thunder as an enemy. That game has you fighting pretty much nothing BUT rainbow colored klansmen.....

Awesome looking game! I am thinking this game would have been a fantastic candidate for one of those expanded audio chips that some of the Famicom games use. Would have suited this game nicely.

that pretty dramatic for a Famicom or NES game.

A lot of people disagree with your opinion on the music but I do think the music was a bit inappropriate because some of the tracks are so well known and people have other associations already with them so they don't fit the action like an original soundtrack would.
