Once again the King of eBay show's his domain :D Some very excellent finds as always, I really liked the story of you and your Dad and the Jaguar's that's going to be a very cool build :)
The Hien scale of 1/50 is a Tamiya original from the days when some companies tried to "metricate" scales, 1/50, 1/100, 1/150, etc. They did quite a few 1/100 aircraft the biggest being the B-52D.
Very cool kits on the cheap Gyruss. You've gotten some fun builds coming at you. That Hawk kit, F-84, is very fancy being chrome plated, and a nightmare if doing seam work. Maybe a Molotow pen would solve it. I think I have a similar situation in my stash. Chrome aircraft models weren't usual, but were the easy build of the day since you didn't have to muck with paint. The diecast company is Burago, no D. They are just fancy with their 'b' logo. They are a bit of fun to build. All the best with decal replacements. You'll have to find something you like...
hi rich nice stash no wonder i can,t find anything lol, not a plane guy but love that jaguar, oh and the burago die cast/metal kits, i used to do those many years ago i had a large collection at one time but i let them all go, would love to do another some time.
tamiya have been boxing other companys kits as there own causing disapointment in the model world because its not tamiya quality, nice vid like watching these.. del
