I once met her at an airport and I didn't have anyone around who could take a pic (that was a little before the "selfie era" lol) then she took my own phone and gave it to a guy who was traveling with her and asked him to take a pic "for us", just like she said 😍 not to mention that she was dressing "regular" clothes and looked stunning anyway! Some people don't realize, but don't look perfect is a compliment in the fashion world. They don't like perfection, they like weirdness and edginess, when you look too pretty or perfect they see you as too commercial and not really high-fashion.
Justtobe7 GIseles look can do both. Her face is not "too girl next door commercial" and not too "weird,edgy high fashion alien". Honestly that is why she has been so successful. Gisele is one of the few that could be on GQ one day and Italian Vogue the next.
Justtobe7 She's not that odd looking, so she doesn't have a button nose, her look is perfect. I think...out of 6 girls NONE of the others come close to her...she got her mothers German green eyes and long slender legs. Even pregnancies didn't damage her washboard abs!

Modeling is something that is meant for you. Because there are some people who want to be models but arent good (ahem most models now, glamour and insta models). Why? Because they know they want it and therefore become self aware. Models who become one by accident often times arent self conscious of their beauty. They just are. Which is why you gotta give props to model scouts back then because they know a girl is a model when they see one. It's not always about connections.

I think they just mean that she has a unique, non cookie cutter look to her. I agree, she’s absolutely gorgeous, much more interesting features than the typical commercial type model. Her features are very strong and striking and it’s what makes her so well suited for high fashion. But, she can clearly do commercial type modeling as well because of her amazing figure and bubbly personality. She is just an all around fantastic model.

I don't understand why it seems to be a crime to say they where in modelling school and they didn't get "discovered". She was not eating any big Mac she had gone to Sao Paulo with her modelling school to do a fashion show for practice and meet and greet.
marizz7 so do I! I bought her biography, which includes several pictures of herself, and she looks pretty much the same than she did when she was a child/teenager/young woman. I would be very, very surprised and disappointed if she actual had a nose job as she's known for her natural beauty.

What's crazy is she has managed to be more beautiful as she's aged, in large part, because of her confidence and zest for life. In other words, it makes her radiate with beauty.
