I have this set and I really enjoy these kits and I’m glad they made them available. I agree there are many items missing but I think they tried to keep the price somewhat affordable. I just sourced or made some of the missing items. The Stalingrad set is also a great one to get. The box art and even the assembly instructions have color guides and suggestions that help. These have been out for a while so I hope to get a few more I’m missing before they disappear or start selling for outrageous prices. Thank you for posting.
I think it is a different scale - the Sarissa-Prescision model is for 28mm wargaming (1:64 I think). The full size one is 1m long and £180 then there is a shortened set 780mm for £166. They have produced a reduced scale version for Italeri (and with fewer windows in the wings). I guess there is an exclusivity deal as the Reichstag is not available in 20mm. The same applies for Pegasus bridge. Hopefully this explains the discrepancy
The one from Sarissa is WAY bigger, the Italeri one is scaled down. Not only scale wise (1:60 vs 1:72) but the Sarissa has 5 arched wings per side the Italeri has just 2 making the Sarissa roughly 50% bigger in width. Also Italeri being a massive company they probably got a good discount for buying X amount of kits...
So the guys who made the building sell maybe 1 or 2 per month, but they sold probably 1000 to Italeri (or maybe they sold the plans of the kit for 1 lump sum of money). Designing the building = XX (tens) amount of hours Cutting the buildings = X amount of hours Materials = couple of quid. Running a bussiness costs money. Selling 2 items (even with the pricetag you mentioned) per month doesn't pay the bills of designing, ordering/storing the materials, cutting the materials etc. packaging, sending etc. etc. Even the lasers are written off (as a bit of the cost) Running all this is quite elaborate. And it looks like there are more then a few bits in the building. Anywho...
I have to admit to being envious of anyone who can make good models...I'm not that way inclined...I have in the past done small ones but it ain't my cup of tea. This pack looks like a great base or starter for a more complex display, it's a pity they don't put it all in the kit. The artwork is really good, cheers m8 and happy model building 😊😊😊
I did go a bit nuts in the 1990s and made an armhem diorama in 1/35 scale..it ended up 14 foot long by 3 foot wide!!!......eventually it was broken back down into its component parts, and sold off to the usa and Germany.
@@historicmilitaria1944 🤣🤣it is a good thing, that if the diorama is first rate, as I imagine yours is, you can possibly sell them on....I know of a bloke locally who does ww1 dioramas and sells them for quite a few quid 🙂
@steelhelmetstan7305 nice, most of the work is in man hours putting stuff together, painting, weathering, accessorising and the like....something you cant put a price on ,which saves other people from doing the work,I know someone who does commission figure painting, first class stuff,he enjoys what he does.
Looks really good and with some custom made bits will finish it off nicely. Probably didn't cost them that to make it. It's a bit cheeky at that price.
