Great review and build! I built this kit when I was a kid, entered it in a model contest held by the local Wal-Mart and scored 2nd place. I still have the trophy, but sadly the model is long gone. I bought a vintage kit a few years ago and plan to do a better job on it now that I'm an adult and have learned many more tricks in model building since childhood.
Robert, It's great to hear that you've stayed with the hobby! Thanks for sharing and please subscribe if you haven't already, to help us continue our mission to inspire more modelers! -Doug!
It's a bummer that the molding for this kit isn't very good. I think I'll still get the kit despite the shortcomings. I loved the music videos with the car, such a great band.
J, It's an old molesters fit everything and note that the interior is built before the top goes on or you'll have to mask the interior then prep and paint the body! - Doug
@@RightOnReplicas yeah,I just used testors canned lacquer last night .But,I normally use testors enamels cut 2 parts paint, 1 parts lacquer thinner that I buy at Home Depot. I get decent results and the paint cures faster. But I want to start with acrylics cuz of the great amount of choices we have including craft paints. I will end up getting some smooth white plastic and practice with acrylics. Spoons are not big enough for me.
