ADDITIONAL NOTES: - To IBISPAINT USERS, If you skipped to method 2 without seeing method 1, please refer to this timestamp 8:20 so that you can see how the eyes are separated - To PC USERS, I recommend you to use Bluestacks when using Gacha Club so that you can take screenshots easily. You can also change the resolution of the screenshot if you go to the settings of Bluestacks. You can change the resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 2560 x 1440 - If your OC has a TINT, it is recommended to remove that while doing the screenshoting process. The tint can affect the colors of your model, especially when you’re trying to match it with the color of the background. Just add the tint back when you’re editing the whole PSD instead -If your OC has extra features like accessories and such, it’s the same thing with the process described in the video - To the people who ask “Why not use the body map instead?”, you can definitely use it, however, the quality would be affected
Not gonna lie, you screenshoting all parts separately and showing how to do it is what I had the most trouble and I didn’t know how to get started with that, I’m so glad you did this, now me and others can (hopefully) make models! Thanks Siege! 🔥💚
Thank you for doing this! I learned something new from this tutorial. I didn't know that using the exact line tool was going to get rid of the rough edges on the parts. I've been making models for awhile and the rough edges on the outlines never bothered me but maybe for my future model making I'm going to try what you did. This is completely genius. I usually make my animation models by screenshoting the parts on a gray background and I even edit it into more detail. They were inspired by Rosy's TMF models.
Just discovered gacha vtubing models. I was initially going to use a vroid, going as far as to make a terrible debut trailer, because I’m not really an artist. I think I’m gonna remake my model after watching this…(and setup a new trailer )
Thank you so much Siege for making this video! Thank you for putting your time into this on making a tutorial for us, I applaud you, and it’s so detailed and well explained! Great job, Siege! ✨💙💜❤️
personally i've always just used the body map bc my models are typically heavily edited i didn't know u could do it this way also the entire time for method two i was thinking "huh is she using clipping to do this?" AND SHE DID IT! That was kinda brilliant lol
I don't plan on model-making just yet but OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME HOW TO GET RID OF THE SHARP EDGES! I don't use my PC for drawing/editing so this is an absolute gamechanger. I'll be returning again when I do start tweening/model-making!
Thank you for making this! I already know how to rig and all that stuff, but this is still great! But, there is a better way to get the body parts without filling up camera space. You can just go to body map :-]
I think you should remake your live2d mouth tutorial, theres very limited options compared to the mouths in A Memory's Recipe. Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial tho! I''ll use this next time I make a live2d model
This is a rlly good tutorial! Well explained and helps understand the visuals and what not :] Also as an ibis paint user, the second method is actually a rlly smart method omg Tysm for this Siege! Im sure this amazing tutorial also help many as well
Oh siege please remake more tutorials!!! Especially the rigging ones. I’ve gotten myself into the animators team of the Gacha team I’m in on accident and those tutorials would be a big help!
I have to say the first video helped with just breaking things apart but for when I fully edited a model I had to make changes than what I did in your tutorial.
1:49 there is a easier way (at least for me) to copy the oc: go to the screen that has multiple ocs and switch your oc for the deafult, then turn on the "copy all" feature and tadaa, oc copied (i only have this method because i once had trouble with codes, if anyone is struggling with it too, you can use this.)
BRO I JUST REALIZED THAT IT'S MORE EASIER IN PAINT TOOL SAI😭 THOUGH I DON'T HAVE A DRAWING TABLET TO DRAW THE EYES EQUEGWIEY, though this was very helpful, i have an idea in paint tool sai now😻💖 Edit: ALSO THE BLACK BODY PARTS IDEA?? THAT'S SO SMART OMG GONNA TRY THAT OUT
Hello I am an Italian Gachatuber (I am not famous LOL) The Gacha Community is dying and I'm learning to animate with Live2d,I hope this tutorial will help me I am a new sub! Hello from Italy! 🇮🇹
I don't want to make models for now but still this video was useful for me coz in future I may need to make models then this video will be very useful for me 😁
Hey Siege, I've really been wanted to make my own Live2D gacha series, and i want to start next year in January (saving up for a new laptop💀). I turned 12 last month, and I was wondering if you could give me any tips/advice? From your dumb/hyperventilated/bored/un motivated friend, Lavender ❤❤❤ BTW, I
FINISHED WATCHING THE TUTORIAL, AND OMG THIS IS SO USEFUL NOW I DONT HAVE TO SUFFER MAKING PSD’S HAHSJAJHAHD (im a method 2 user) -YES NOW MY ONLY PROBLEM WILL BE GOING BACK TO GACHA EVERY 2 SECONDS SCREENSHOTTING THAT ONE PART I FORGOT TO SCREENSHOT.-
download it as a psd file, somehow send it to your laptop, Bluetooth maybe? I personally have whatsapp on both devices and I have a group where only im in it just for that, since I can see the group on both devices, I send the file to the group and then open the group from the other device and download the files from there.
