You mentioned we should check off the assumptions. Could you make a video about how we do that? Do we have test each one separately? and do we have to report the results of this assumptions-testing in an article? Thanks for very clear and helpful videos!

Hi, thank you so much for this video! I have a question though: what if my model and interaction coefficient are significant but my X and M are not? Is moderation proved, right? But can I use the data for the plot?

Hi, thank you for your video. Currently I am looking to see whether a moderator (M) (three levels, not continuous) moderates the relationship between an independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV). I first ran a multiple regression analysis on SPSS (regression -> linear -> on Block 1 input IV and M, on Block 2 input IV x M). Then, I also ran a moderation analysis using your method (I didn't select anything on "multiplecategory") however, the values from previous analysis did not match the ones from moderation analysis using PROCESS macro... Theoretically, shouldn't these two match? p.s. I ran moderation analysis using PROCESS macro because I needed to run post hoc probing for the multiple regression I ran on SPSS but I could not find it anywhere on how to do that when the moderator has three levels instead of two. So, if you know a way, I would really appreciate your help! Thank you

Hi, it would be awesome if you could go through the mediation and the moderation-mediation models! Thanks for all your work, it makes way simpler to researchers get data analysis done!

Could you provide the template of the models?

You can find the templates for all models for version 3 in Hayes' textbook: afhayes.com/introduction-to-mediation-moderation-and-conditional-process-analysis.html

Hi, could you explain moderation output in process macro with gender as moderator?

Is there a way to determine if there is a significant difference between points? For example, the difference in stress levels between low and high support when work demand is high?

Hi. I have a question, please. Don't we have to look at the signs of the effects that have been shown in the PROCESS output? I'll be grateful if you respond to both queries of mine.

This was so helpful! Thank you! Can you use this method if your moderator is dichotomous?
@PsychEDD
@PsychEDD 4 года назад
Yes you can, but the output is slightly different.

Hello, I m used to to test my models with amos by running path analysis. I want to use macro but I just want to know how did you do to sum the items of your variables in one factor ? did you calculate the mean of items of each variable ? Thank you by advance.

I saved the regressed scores of an initial principal factor analysis

what if you have two moderator variables?

Hi! Thank you for a video. Is it problematic if the IV is an ordinal variable?
@PsychEDD
@PsychEDD 2 года назад
I'm not sure about ordinal variables - i think you'd need to apply some type of dummy coding, but you'd need to read up on it to be sure (assuming it has more than three levels).

Hi, my interaction variable is significant when I do moderation through the regression --> linear options but not through PROCESS and I'm not sure why. I have two covariates and all other variables are the same (the interaction variable is the product of the mean centred moderator and IV). Do you know why this might be/if I am doing something wrong?
@PsychEDD
@PsychEDD 4 месяца назад
Is your W a continuous variable? Might not maintain signifance when split between -1, 0, and +1 SD.

My mediating and moderating variables are both ordinal variables, the dependent and independent variable are also categorical variables. can i use this method to test the moderation effect? thank you .
@PsychEDD
@PsychEDD 2 года назад
This is a essentially a multiple linear regression which requires assumptions of normality to be met, so probably not!

what if my moderator variable has three levels or groups? in that case, will this model still stay relevant?
@PsychEDD

Yes, but the output may be slightly different.

Is it possible to use process macro if my IV is measured on a likert scale, my DV is continuous and my moderator is categorical?
@PsychEDD
@PsychEDD 5 месяцев назад
probably, but you would need to treat your IV/predictor as a continious variable not ordinal
@rekabuzassy4496
@rekabuzassy4496 5 месяцев назад
And how can I do that? Do you have videos on it? I would use likert scale to measure
