Thanks Dr. Fawad for valuable information. I have a three variables in my research (Ps independent), (Md moderator), and (Ag outcome). In this study I want to see if 3 subscales of Ps and 3 subscales of md (interaction terms) moderate the four subscales of Ag or not. The problem was when I put the interaction terms together the multicolinearity become very high. Could you help me to address this issue?

Thank you for sharing. This was helpful. I hope you are doing well. I am currently working on my doctoral dissertation in Phoenix, AZ. My present study has 1 predictor (emotional exhaustion), 2 moderators (Age and Gender), and 1 dependent variable (turnover intension). I intend to use Haye's Model 2 for analysis - many thanks to you for providing two methods of analysis that include the Andrew Hayes' PROCESS Macro. In addition, I intend to use purposive stratified sampling. For the G*Power input parameters, I intend to choose 0.15 for medium effect size that produces an actual power of 0.80347 and requires a total sample size of 68 plus additional 15 percent (for attrition) to amount to 76. The 0.02 small effect size which requires a sample size of 485 is unrealistic for me. It may be expensive to achieve such a sample size. Can a researcher use 0.15 for medium effect size? Again, thanks.

Hi. Yes you can use a medium effect. You may search for references in your area plus watch this video and refer to the paper cited in the video for details. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V5sDam6r7ew.html

Hi Professor, I am looking at doing something like model 3 of Hayes but the moderator that is moderating the effect of moderator on the x-->y relationship is a level 2 variable. It is designed to measure HRM strength and some of the items are binary although some aren't. Previously people split those items that are not binary by splitting at median. My first question is can I do a model where the moderating moderator variable is level 2. I suspect as data is nested it needs to be a multi-level study. Second question, can i add the different elements once they are all converted to binary and treat it as a continuous variable?

Dear Fayad, thanks so much for the education on the Hayes Macro Process in moderation analysis. I intended to analyse one predictor (IV) against one DV with age (in ranges) and experience as my moderators. Please how should I go about this?

Hello, Thanks for the tutorial. It is really helpful. Can I use the same technique to analyse the data set based on the UTAUT2 framework in which I have Gender (nominal), Education (ordinal), and Age (Ordinal) as Moderating variables. There are 6 Independent variables measured in 6 likert scale constructs each having 3 items, and there are two dependent variables also measured in the likert scale having 3 items each.

Thanks for watching. You can direct add control variables to the model and link them to the endogenous variables. If the control is on a nominal scale with more than 2 categories, create dummy variables.

The conceptual framework model of the thesis I chose has 5 independent variables (with 5-point Likert scale items), 2 moderating variables( items with Yes or No question types), and 1 dependent variable. What is the better way to analyze this? kind regards, Samuel G.

I strongly recommend you to use SEM based tools. If you are an early career researcher SmartPLS is a good option. There is a complete playlist to learn SmartPLS. ru-vid.com/group/PLb7vm6tsQ3Kv4YWhYNkP7DizqOjT7ubSX

@researchwithfawad
@researchwithfawad 11 месяцев назад
Thanks for your interest. You will need to take the sum of the individual items. Let say, i have Organizational Commitment measured using 4 items COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4 If you have it in SPSS, Go to Transform -> Compute Variable In the Target Variable Enter the Name of the New Variable that is to be created based on taking the average, let say COMM. In the numeric expression type in Mean(COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4) Press OK. The new variable is created at the end of the Data View and is also visit in the variable view. You have now composite score for each respondent that you can use in regression.

Would it make sense if RC was insignificant, but CCxRC was significant?
@researchwithfawad
@researchwithfawad Год назад
Yes, it can happen when the impact of RC is insignificant, but its interaction is significant as it is moderating the relationship not just influencing the outcome.
