This episode was simply genius. I felt like a got to know the characters better through the ways they interact with and use technology. And it's very relatable on so many levels needless to say.
My favorite part was later: -Phil: It's a package for Haley. -Claire: Open it. -Phil: Well that seems like an invasion of her privacy... -Everyone: OPEN IT!!! 😂
You missed the setup. They said "Andy can't do it. He is a very responsible and (something) person." Then Phil enters, "Its a package for Haley". The show is littered with these brilliant invisible jokes.
@@hypocratus7341 I think this episode was based on the movie “searching”! I don’t know when this episode came out but that movie came out in 2018 EDIT: but missing and searching is pretty much the same thing
@@SimplyTypicalMe yeah exactly I was talking about the same movie , didnt quite remember the name, but yeah the father searches for his daughter something like that. This episode came out in 2015 so I think its the first of its kind
I've just started watching modern family and i just watched this entire episode...and it's totally a piece of art.... probably the best episode of this show (can't comment on the ones i haven't watched yet)
This is simply genius... how could they pull out an episode like this?? I was so confused to see it for the first time.... I loved it when it ended.... brilliant team!!! Woww just wowwww
I realised they made a whole episode over a video call only after i saw the end credits, 20 minutes went like nothing, and this episode was a fcking masterpiece and genius
He’s a goofball, but he deeply cares about his family. There’s an entire video analyzing why he’s such a good father and husband. You should check it out because it makes a lot of good points.
I was the exact opposite. I watched this show when it was on and brand new, but for some reason, I fell off it after season 7-ish… then came back to it during lockdown.
Woaahh. It’s wonderful how mac works with a perfect ecosystem. As an Indian, I didn’t know that. The whole time, I was just wondering how screwed I would be if my phone was down the toilet or destroyed. I could never be able to see all my pics, vc so easily, create reminders so quickly. Just wow
As brilliant as this episode is, as an avid watcher of true life crime shows, it always bothered me sooo much that no one had seen Haley and had no clue about her whereabouts for a whole day!! Forget wedding, girl could be dead. And yes i know its a sitcom and know that Haley is an adult by then.
lmfao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 If there is an award that totally envelopes the Oscars, the BAFTAS, the Golden Balls, the Noble Prizes (all of them), the Whatever Anywhere Ever ... this episode wins it hands down. Legendary. Bloody ace.
2:25 Haley: Oh My God what you doing? Are you filming me? 2:27 Claire: Yes! I want you to see how crazy you were acting. 2:30 Haley: Me!? I've come to talk to you about something important and then you start chasing me around with the camera! 2:42 Haley: I was running around doing stuff for my crazy boss all day! And then I got hungry and then that smell from the garage almost made me throw up! 2:50 Haley: "Leave me alone! I have a lot on the plate!" 2:55 Haley: Oh My God! She's a good actress on that show
"Whats the best first person shooter about modified space marines? HALO!!!!" Phil....we are brothers Also shout out to warhammer 40k because SPACE MARINES!
I wanna know who directed this scene? Are they associated with the movie 'searching' becuase the way they edit and show these constant events happening throughout facetime and internet is very similar.

Claire wasn't in the house and Phil was too busy with his game and didn't really care what's going around him (he didn't even know which time it is and that Alex is by him all the time) And Alex also didn't really care about Haley, where she is, what she is doing and so ... In this point of story , they aren't close yet.
