Hi MrSeri, this is your latest video, so I'm gonna ask away here ;) I'm looking to get into hardened scales and really like your videos and insight. Do you have any thoughts on budget lists? Is it still good without both inkmoth and urza? My budget is around 200-250€ and I'll probably play GR since esper Sentinel is also not budget friendly, so no real reason to go white. If you have some thoughts or a list it's much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance and a happy new year to you! :)
@@korbsen If you cut out Saga, you can take all the maindeck 1-of 1 cmc targets like Springleaf Drum or Shadowspear. And since you don't have easy access to drums, I'd say play 24 lands and 4 stirrings. Concerning the mana base, try to to have at least 13 green source, so that you can reliably cast Hardened Scales on turn 1. And if you're looking for good budget utility lands you can try: Phyrexia's Core, Roadside Reliquary, Llanowar Reborn and Blinkmoth Nexus.
Have you considered Yotian Descendent? Haven't played modern in a while, but if that Automaton that gets counters when you play an artifact was worth trying, wouldn't that one be too?
@@seriour well, yeah, but you get to put it onto your Ravager, Worker, Zabaz, whoever, instead of just the Patchwork. Maybe it would have to be a tweaked build specifically for this dude, but I think its worth a shot. We won't know until we try (I don't have MODO and money so I can't try for myself)
