I played a doouble kick to hi hat semetrical setup before and tryed that kind of pedal hopping shite its so hard to do because hi hat pedals feel so different to kick pedals and when you take your off the kick the beater swings and ends up in a different starting position each time, so it throws your feel completely off huge pain in the ass

Dude is a straight up BEAST!!! Who the f*ck warms up by playing "BLEED"?!?! Back in like 2016 or 2017 when I seen one of Oceans Ate Alaska's music videos for the first time (can't remember which song but it doesn't really matter) I kept having to rewind, play, pause, rewind, play, rewind, play over and over and over cause I wasn't believing what my eyes & ears were relaying to my brain so I can ultimately process into words let alone sentences! To this day I'm STILL trying to understand what in the f*ck is going on while he's playing! I mean I can see all of what's happening but as soon as I try to break it down in my head and understand it my brain just turns into f'n Jello with all kinds of synapse snaps and seizure auras! The greatest part about Chris is that there is absofuckinglutely no one out there who has the same or slightly even close to the style, technique & precision...the list goes on forever! As a (shitty) drummer myself, I absolutely love it when there's a newly discovered drummer who brings a massive amount of skill to the table that no one else is doing, done before or heard before.....you'll know when "that drummer" is there when warming up every single person in the room is suddenly dead quiet and turns to watch with their bottom jaw on the floor in a pool of its own drool. 🤘😝🤘
